The School of Health Sciences at the University of Southampton is offering a unique opportunity for an experienced occupational therapist with a passion for education to join the occupational therapy programme team. You will contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of teaching within our highly valued pre-registration BSc occupational therapy programme, which is one of the nationally leading undergraduate courses. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for high-quality occupational therapy education and has a strong vision for how education and research can transform health care. You will have an appreciation of issues facing contemporary higher education, clinical practice and health and social care services nationally. The role level is dependent on education experience and expertise. You will have or be working towards an MSc with clinical expertise (band 6 level or above) in occupational therapy and experience as an educator in University and/or clinical practice. Ihr persönlicher Spielraum: This position is part of the “Algorithms and Optimization” group, led by Prof. Gramoz Goranci, within the “Theory and Applications of Algorithms’”research group at the Faculty of Computer Science. Our research focuses broadly on algorithm design and its connections to optimization, graph theory, and the foundations of machine learning. Recent work has centered on developing fast, dynamic algorithms for both classical and emerging large-scale problems, with an emphasis on rigorous theoretical guarantees and, in some cases, high-performance implementations. We draw on techniques from combinatorial data structures, graph algorithms, spectral graph theory, and metric embeddings, combining these tools to address fundamental challenges in modern algorithm design. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced veterinary surgeon (MRCVS) with a passion for inspiring undergraduate students in veterinary medicine. We have a part-time role (0.4 FTE) available for an equine vet. Experienced clinicians who wish to move into education and develop their teaching expertise within a multidisciplinary department are encouraged to apply. The primary focus of this role will be to support the clinical teaching in years three and four, preparing our students for their final year rotations. The role involves practical teaching, lectures and tutorials and there will be a requirement to travel to our offsite partners on occasion. The full time equivalent salary for this role ranges from £37,694 - £56,535 plus an additional 10% payment for continued RCVS membership. As this is a part time role, the pro rata 0.4 FTE salary (including 10% payment) ranges from £16,585 to £24,875 per annum.
