About the opportunity The GSE is looking for Expressions of Interest from qualified educators to join the School as sessional staff in our undergraduate initial teacher education courses in Perth or Albany. Work with academic staff to support student learning, and roles may include teaching, facilitating workshops, marking, moderation, and contributions to curriculum development. Contribute to our undergraduate initial teacher education course and support UWA’s mission to provide high-quality education. About you Formal tertiary qualification(s) in teaching/education; preferably a doctorate. Previous sessional and/or professional experience in initial teacher education or working with pre-service teachers in primary school settings. Knowledge and experience of the Western Australian primary school curriculum Strong written and verbal communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills. Position Overview This Lecturer position involves research, teaching and service within the Department of International Relations. The successful candidate will publish high-quality, impactful research in peer-reviewed journals, academic presses, and policy fora, and pursuing grant-funding opportunities within a world-class Department known for the support and mentorship that it provides to its early career researchers. The role has been established to support the Department’s contribution to the Bachelor of Asia Pacific Affairs (BAPA), a dual‑degree program delivered with Ritsumeikan University (RU) in Japan. While based at the University campus in Canberra, the Lecturer will teach at RU’s Osaka Ibaraki Campus approximately every second year, with travel and accommodation provided. In non‑travel years, they will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at the University and may supervise honours and graduate research students. The Department of Geography at Durham University seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor in Physical Geography who has expertise in the field of Earth Observation. We seek someone who will complement and extend our current work in one or more of our research clusters (Hazards and Surface Change; Catchments and Rivers; Sea Level, Ice Sheets and Climate), but we particularly welcome applications from candidates who apply Earth observation approaches to outstanding problems in the fields of mountain environments, geohazards, geomorphology and catchments and river science. The successful candidate will develop world class scholarship in their field. They will have completed a PhD in a relevant field, have a track record of internationally excellent and agenda setting publications and demonstrate a track record of, or potential for, securing external funding. As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. This role supports the Future Ship and System Design (FSSD) Programme, which aims to accelerate the decarbonisation and digitalisation of Singapore’s maritime sector. The project focuses on developing planning methods to support the electrification of harbour craft fleets, using real-world operational data to derive charging demand profiles and infrastructure recommendations. As part of this work, we are seeking a Research Fellow to lead the development of a user-friendly GUI tool that will enable stakeholders to interact with planning models and visualise simulation outputs. The RF will also support increasing coordination between different projects as the number of case studies and incoming datasets continues to grow. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop a GUI tool to make model inputs/outputs accessible to end-users Collaborate with project leads and researchers to ensure technical accuracy of the interface Support integration of simulation outputs across Projects 3-1 and 3-2 Manage and process large sets of operational data for case study analysis Contribute expertise in power grid optimisation to enhance planning models Participate in stakeholder engagements and respond to evolving technical needs Job Requirements: A strong background in power systems, energy modelling, or grid optimisation Proficiency in GUI development (e.g. using Python Dash, Tkinter, or web-based frameworks) Experience working with data-driven simulation and model validation in power grids (Ph.D level is mandatory) Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment Prior exposure to maritime or transport-related electrification studies is a plus

This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a healthcare background such as in Nursing, Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology, and who is passionate about supporting students a real-life simulation environment. The role is based in a modern clinical skills simulation lab, essential for delivering practical workshops and ensures the lab is prepared according to course needs and supports teaching by providing technical advice, equipment demonstrations, and procedural guidance. Responsibilities also include maintaining equipment, managing stock control, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. The role requires liaising with the Senior Manager, Healthcare Simulation, and broader team. Additional duties include stepping in for the Team Leader or Laboratory Manager when needed, training staff on simulation equipment, resolving IT and AV issues promptly, and maintaining accurate records of simulation software, licences, and equipment updates to ensure optimal functionality and minimal disruption to learning. During intensives, the incumbent will be expected to work a variety of shifts within a set roster, ranging from 7:30am – 3:30pm, 8:00am – 4pm and 12:30 – 8:30pm, with the occasional shift ending at 10:00pm.
