The University of Genoa was founded in 1471 as a college of theology, and over the following centuries it has grown to become one of Italy’s largest universities.
Today the university has 22 departments that are organised into five schools, with most teaching and research being undertaken in the university buildings that are dotted around the city of Genoa although there are also some regional campuses in the Liguria region of northern Italy. The University of Genoa also shares a branch campus with Florida International University which both universities use to host their respective architecture schools.
Among the facilities and programs offered by the University of Genoa are a fully equipped sports centre, free Italian language courses for non-native speakers and a number of libraries.
As well as having multiple campuses the University of Genoa is also home to 53 research departments, and since 2005 it has worked closely with the Genoa-based Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) and together they have made significant progress in the field of robotics with the development of iCub, a humanoid robot, and a prosthetic hand able to replace a missing arm.
Graduates of the University of Genoa include some key figures in Italian history, such as Franco Malerba, the first Italian astronaut, former Italian president Sandro Pertini and former Fiat chairman Paolo Fresco.

Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership Define and execute the career services and industry engagement strategy aligned with institutional goals at each IBC. Lead the career services function across all IBCs, ensuring high-quality outcomes in internships, placements, entrepreneurship, and further studies. Establish KPIs around internship and placement rates, compensation benchmarks and YoY growth, India vs. international internships and placements, employer satisfaction, and alternate career paths such as entrepreneurship/startups and further studies. In order to deliver on the University's ambitious strategic plan, we are seeking professionals & academics who are passionate about improving health outcomes and/or health equity in the local, national and global communities, who are committed to teaching and research, and are team players ready to contribute across the broad field of academic activities. The university is seeking to employee a Research Assistant ( HEO 5) to support the delivery of a research project which received $980K funding through the Medical Research Fund Traumatic Brain Injury mission. The project, "Enhancing Community Engagement in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Rehabilitation Through the Social Brain Toolkit" involves developing and piloting an innovative model of care - the Social Brain Clinic. The Social Brain Clinic involves student speech pathologists and mentors with lived experience of TBI working together to provide online programs to rebuild communication skills, to people with TBI located across Australia. This role will be embedded within the University of Sydney's ABI Communication Lab (Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Communication Lab - ABI Communication Lab) - a dynamic team of researchers, academics and clinicians who are developing innovative approaches in brain injury rehabilitation. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the multidisciplinary project team. They will take on a range of responsibilities including providing practice education for speech pathology students, supporting research data collection and management, developing resources and project communications, and participating in strategic planning for sustainability of this new clinic.
