Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong and a specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, or be eligible to apply to the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine for the Certification of Specialist Registration. They should have experience as a teacher or trainer in undergraduate, postgraduate or professional education, with evidence of local to regional recognition of clinical excellence. Experience in undergraduate curriculum reform and development, as well as proven capacity and potential in conducting research in their respective field(s) would be advantageous. Ability to speak Cantonese will also be an advantage, although teaching and professional activities are conducted in English. The appointee will undertake teaching responsibilities, and organize and develop undergraduate programmes. He/She is expected to provide clinical service and patient care at the University’s teaching hospitals, and contribute to services/administration at the Departmental, Faculty and University levels. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable. The University only accepts online application for the above post.
