Description The Center for Brain and Health (CBH) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to support innovative clinical and translational research on brain health and disease in diverse populations within the UAE and wider MENA region. The successful applicant will play a central role in the day-to-day execution of human-subjects research studies, working within a multidisciplinary team of faculty investigators, research assistants, clinicians, and students. The position involves coordinating clinical and observational research protocols that integrate advanced neuroimaging, neuromonitoring, and behavioural methods, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, participant safety, and high-quality data collection. Key responsibilities include coordinating participant recruitment and workflow (pre-screening, informed consent, scheduling, and follow-up), maintaining regulatory and ethics documentation, liaising with clinical partners and imaging facilities, and overseeing clinical aspects of MRI, EEG, and MEG sessions. The Junior Research Scientist / Clinical Coordinator will also contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, support training of research assistants and students, track study progress and recruitment metrics, and assist with grant applications, ethics submissions, and progress reporting. The role works closely with dedicated neuroimaging and research assistants who focus on technical data acquisition, imaging pipelines, and analysis, while the Clinical Coordinator leads clinical governance and participant-facing workflows. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, biomedical sciences, nursing, or a related field; a Master’s degree or clinical qualification (e.g., nursing, allied health, clinical psychology) is strongly preferred. Candidates should have 2–3 years of experience coordinating human-subjects research or clinical trials, ideally in neurology, psychiatry, or related areas, and demonstrated familiarity with ethical and regulatory requirements for human research. Experience working with patient populations and/or in neuroimaging or neuromodulation environments (MRI, EEG, MEG, TMS) is highly advantageous. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages spoken in the UAE is an asset. As taught postgraduate programs constitute a significant portion of our educational initiatives, those with extensive experience in teaching Master’s-level courses in mechanical engineering or closely related engineering disciplines will be highly preferred. The appointee will be responsible for high-quality teaching in mechanical engineering subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This role involves the supervision of student projects and dissertations, active contribution to course and curriculum design, and ongoing review and enhancement of academic programmes, including accreditation-related activities. He/She is expected to actively engage students in learning through interactive teaching practices and incorporate these methodologies into their teaching approach. He/She should maintain active participation in knowledge exchange, connecting with the industry and the public. He/She will also be required to contribute to the departmental administration and University services. The Co-Centre for Climate+ Biodiversity+ Water is seeking to recruit an experienced and motivated Research Fellow to play an active role as part of a new research team at Queen's University Belfast. The Co-Centre is an exciting new tri-jurisdictional initiative spanning Northern Ireland, Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland, which is managed jointly by QUB and Trinity College Dublin and funded by the Science Foundation Ireland (SFI), DAERA and UKRI. The Co-Centre is the home of research, innovation, and policy development across the interlinked challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, and water degradation on the islands of Ireland and Britain, with the goal of integrating research across both islands to address these crises. This Research Fellowship will contribute mainly to a project on projecting biodiversity change. In this project we aim to forecast global vegetation responses driven by climate, land use, and traits, and apply these projections to enable population risk forecasting. We will apply the Global Warming Levels and "storyline" climate projections produced for Ireland and the UK with our biodiversity models to project effects of these new projections on the types of species that will occur under these new climatic conditions and their dynamics. There is a possibility to look at animal responses in addition to vegetation. The post will be part of the School of Biological Sciences at QUB but will work as part of a multi-disciplinary and inclusive team based in the dedicated Co-Centre Hub. The successful candidate will have responsibilities in independent research, supervision, planning, collaborations, and outreach. About the person The successful candidate must have, and our application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria: Hold or be about to obtain a PhD* (*obtained within 3 months of commencement of employment) in ecology or related field. Have substantial relevant research experience in (at least some of the following): GIS; geospatial modelling; ecological modelling; land use change and/or climate change impacts. Demonstrable evidence of experience and skills in: data analysis, report writing and/or peer-reviewed publication. An exciting opportunity for someone with previous clinical trials experience to join the Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (SCTU), within the University of Southampton, in an important role as Senior Trials Manager (STM) within the Early Diagnosis and Translational Group.  SCTU is a leading UK academic CTU located within the state-of-the-art Centre for Cancer Immunology building at Southampton General Hospital. Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (SCTU) | University of Southampton SCTU is a UKCRC registered CTU and is core-funded by Cancer Research UK (CRUK) together with funding from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) via the Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and Research Support Service (RSS).  SCTU has expertise in the design, conduct and publication of clinical trials and other well-designed studies from first-in-human phase I to practice changing phase III trials to large early diagnosis observational studies with rich translational data. Managing a growing portfolio (75% cancer, 25% non-cancer) that covers the complete spectrum of clinical practice, from primary care through to tertiary referral medicine, including pan-cancer experimental therapeutics, surgery, radiotherapy and early diagnosis. Undertaking multi-centre early and late phase clinical trials, we work nationally and internationally to create the evidence for patient benefit that will directly influence routine clinical practice in the NHS and overseas.  As part of the CRUK and NIHR infrastructure we have close working relationships with our partners, including the Southampton Experimental Cancer Research Centre, NIHR BRC & RSS, University Hospital Southampton, the Centre for Cancer Immunology discovery community and CRUK Centres and Institutes across the UK, with an increasing number of international collaborations.  The Senior Trials Manager will lead the relevant portfolio team to ensure effective delivery of the overall strategy and delivery priorities for SCTU. This will include resource management, oversight of financial management, new trial development, grant applications, and the ability to anticipate and consider potential issues or opportunities which could affect delivery and growth of the relevant portfolio. The appointed person must have proven experience of running clinical trials, with a focus on multistakeholder studies collecting patient samples for analysis, and including new trial development.
