State University of Southwestern Bahia (UESB)

The State University of Southwestern Bahia (UESB) is a public university with campuses in Itapetinga, Jequié and Vitória da Conquista, serving the Bahia region of Brazil. 

It offers a wide range of undergraduate, master’s, doctoral and specialisation courses, alongside distance education and teacher training programmes.

The university offers postgraduate studies, extensive research projects, extension activities and cultural communication programmes. An internal instructor training course and regular academic events such as conferences, symposiums and fairs foster an active learning environment.

UESB uses the SAGRES academic system to facilitate student and faculty management. Library services include book loans and reservations through the Pergamum Web System.

In addition to academic offerings, UESB has its own radio station, UESB FM, and television channel, UESB TV. Its Pro-Video department produces institutional audiovisual content, while the university publishes a scientific electronic magazine showcasing its research and academic work.

It has 47 undergraduate courses, 25 master’s programmes, 13 doctoral programmes and six specialisation courses.
