Description The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a motivated post-doctoral associate with a strong background in game theory, control systems, and/or learning theory to join the research team of Prof. Muhammad Umar B. Niazi. The position focuses on the design and implementation of incentive mechanisms for sociotechnical and cyber-physical-human systems, with particular emphasis on smart mobility and urban transportation networks. Description The RNA Modifications, Intellect, and NeuroDegeneration (RNA-MIND) Laboratory in collaboration with the Center of Brain and Health of New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a Research Assistant to join our laboratory focused on stem cell biology, neuroscience, and molecular mechanisms of human disease. The successful candidate will work with human cell lines, embryonic stem cells, and iPSCs, including their generation, characterization, and differentiation into cortical neurons and brain organoids. Experience with organoid culture, cryo-sectioning, microscopy, and MEA functional assays is highly desirable. Expertise in CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing (knockout and correction) and in NGS workflows—such as ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, miRNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq preparation, and CUT&RUN—is strongly valued. Strong grounding in molecular biology techniques (Western blot, Northern blot, immunostaining, PCR/RT-qPCR, cloning, RNA work) is expected. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment that includes collaboration with fellow post-doctoral associates, senior and junior scientists, and undergraduate students. The Global Languages and Cultures Hub at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University was established in 2025 and is home to three dynamic centres: the Academic Literacies Centre (ALC), the English Language Centre (ELC), and the Modern Languages Centre (MLC). The Modern Languages Centre (MLC) delivers high-quality language instruction and cultural education in Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish. The Chinese Language Division offers diverse courses taught by 19 dedicated language lecturers. Students develop strong Chinese language skills and gain a deeper understanding of Suzhou’s and China’s unique cultures through tailored teaching materials and methodologies. Extracurricular cultural activities and field trips provide immersive, real-world opportunities to develop students’ communication skills and enhance their learning experience. Responsibilities and Duties Applications are invited for Chinese language teaching positions in the Global Cultures and Languages Hub at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) before 5th January, 2026.
