Universidad Nacional de Tucuman was founded in 1914, to serve Tucumán, the most densely populated of Argentina’s provinces. 
It has 13 faculties and seven schools, including: agronomy animal science and veterinary medicine; architecture and urban planning; film, video and television; and philosophy and letters. It also has three museums, in arts and culture, natural sciences and archaeology.
Each faculty runs a student centre, which coordinates academic support, cultural events and student representation. Student clubs are often linked to faculties, too, as a way for students to engage with their subject – and each other – outside formal classes. For example, the School of Exact Sciences and Technology runs a robotics club, which brings together students from programming, electronics and mechanics degrees. 
The university sports centre provides a gym, as well as courts for 11-a-side football, five-a-side football, basketball, padel tennis and volleyball. Students are able to join sports and athletics teams.
The university owns dormitories and holiday cabins in the nearby Yungas nature reserve. These are primarily used for staff and summer programmes, but students can ask about availability. However, most students live in private, off-campus rental accommodation, connecting with other UNT students to arrange flatshares. Two university dining halls offer general menus, as well as gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.

Your position:

The Department of History of Christianity and Protestantism in Austria is a sub-unit of the Faculty of Protestant Theology. The vacant position as university assistant (praedoc) serves to strengthen our teaching and research portfolio. We are looking for historically oriented Protestant theologians with a special interest in research questions from the period of Late Antiquity and a willingness to contribute to the editing of articles for the Zeitschrift für Antikes Christentum, preferably documented by an excellent Master's thesis in the field of church history.

Your future tasks:

You will play an active role in research, teaching and administration, i.e:


	You will be involved in research projects and publications on early church history.
	You will work on and complete your dissertation in Church History. We expect you to finalise your dissertation agreement within 6-12 months, and present your research question at national and international conferences.
	You will contribute to the redaction process of articles for the Zeitschrift für Antikes Christentum.
	You will participate in doctoral seminars organised by the Institute and in events of the Vienna Doctoral School of Theology and Research on Religion.
	You will hold independent lectures in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement on topics relating to church history


This is part of your personality:


	Completed Master's degree in Protestant Theology or a corresponding teacher training programme with excellent grades in church history courses (the degree certificate must be available by the date of employment at the latest) or a comparable study programme
	A keen interest in early church history, a willingness to attend and organise national and international conferences and to work in a team, and good IT user skills
	Very good knowledge of ancient Greek and Latin as well as German and English
	High interest in interdisciplinary exchange with neighbouring disciplines (history, philology, etc.)
	Knowledge of the provisions of the collective agreement, namely on church history topics.

About the Job

As a People Systems Specialist (Analyst) you’ll be a key contributor to the design, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of system and process solutions that comply with UK legislation, meet business requirements and align to an overarching Digital First strategy. Day-to-day, you’ll lead on ensuring our P&C, Learning and Engagement systems work effectively and collaborate with key teams like Payroll, IT and external suppliers to maintain and improve system functionality for our people. We’ll also rely on you to act as a subject matter expert for MHR iTrent, our HRIS, including configuration, APIs and data mapping, workflows, access management, bug fixes and query resolution. Providing advice and guidance on the best practice use of the MHR iTrent and identifying solutions to any problem that arise will be an important aspect of the role too. And, when it comes to overseeing data entry, cleansing, import and export using system tools and data reconciliation to ensure all data held is accurate and up-to-date, again, we’ll count on you.

About You

You'll have proven relevant MHR iTrent experience, an expert understanding of transactional HR and Payroll processes, strong analytical and business process knowledge and attention to detail. You'll also need to demonstrate an ability to work cross functionally/divisionally with other teams and deliver on continuous improvement projects within an agreed timeframe. If you have automation and system configuration system integration (APIs) experience and/or familiarity with of system implementations and data migration projects, even better, although these aren’t must haves.

About the opportunity

The Clinical Research Midwife supports the clinical trial process, from planning to execution, ensuring a seamless transition through all stages.  The midwife will support the HEaT inform study being conducted in the climate chamber at The University of Sydney and investigating pregnant women's physiological responses to different temperature conditions. They handle data capture, verification, and overall adherence to standards while fostering relationships with research staff and stakeholders. They ensure Good Clinical Practice and that every aspect of the trial meets the highest ethical and scientific standards.  Provide clinical care within scope of registration and professional practice, where required as part of the study protocol, including responding to medical events or emergencies during study activities.

Reporting to Professor Adrienne Gordon, your key responsibilities will be to:


	support the end-to-end clinical trial process, assisting with the planning, initiation, and execution of trials, and ensuring smooth operations
	provide clinical care within scope of registration and professional practice, as required under the study protocol
	capture data and verification for clinical trials, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations, in accordance with ethics guidelines and workplace health and safety regulations, preparing materials for committee submissions
	build productive relationships with research staff, trial sponsors, and external vendors, facilitating effective communication and collaboration
	uphold the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) in all clinical trials, ensuring that ethical and scientific quality standards are met in design, conduct, recording, and reporting
	support stakeholder communications, ensuring that concerns are addressed effectively and timely while fostering a culture of trust and collaboration within the work area and beyond
	facilitate timely report submission, uphold data integrity according to university systems, and partner with managers to advance compliance initiatives

About you

We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Research Midwife, who possesses:


	tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience in midwifery practice
	current Registered Midwife with APHRA with post graduate midwifery experience.
	previous experience in research with a focus on management of clinical studies/trials
	demonstrated commitment to professional development
	an understanding of issues related to adverse obstetric outcomes: particularly in relation to fetal growth restriction, pre-eclampsia, preterm delivery and stillbirth
	experience with antenatal patient interaction
	demonstrated understanding and experience in complying with Good Clinical Practice, regulatory, ethical, privacy and other relevant guidelines.
	demonstrated experience working across multidisciplinary teams and ability to build effective relations with colleagues and stakeholders
	excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes
	possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with day to day operational matters

The successful candidate will contribute to the design of the research framework, assist with the ethical approval process, and engage in both quantitative and qualitative research activities.

This role is well suited to a candidate with knowledge of research methods and an interest in equality studies. The appointee will contribute to cutting-edge research focused on understanding and addressing barriers to inclusion in higher education. Experience of working on interdisciplinary research projects is desirable.

Salary:

Research Assistant Level 1 (2026): €34,130 - €35,395 p.a. (3 points) pro rata 0.4FTE
