Job Description FACULTY OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES ACADEMY OF WELLNESS AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in Social Work (25260796) The Academy is dedicated to developing high-quality research that addresses social problems, and to engage in evidence-based research to inform macro and micro practice in social work and counselling. As a training institution, the Academy is committed to delivering high-quality education and training in social work, social policy and counselling and in related disciplines at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The prospective scholars are encouraged to participate and contribute by means of research, training and consultation to the professional community in Hong Kong. The appointee is expected to conduct cutting-edge academic research, contribute to academic programme development and assume high-level service and administrative responsibilities. We are looking for outstanding candidates who can complement or add to our existing strengths in social gerontology, healthy aging, life course, mental health; application of innovative approaches in practice; smart society and wellbeing; and macro practice. Candidates who have expertise in one or more of the above areas are encouraged to apply to contribute to the advancement of the Academy/Faculty. Applicants should possess a relevant doctoral degree, a proven track record of impactful research and tertiary teaching experience. They should also have substantial publication record in international refereed journals consistent with the candidate’s academic rank, evidence of potential for securing research funding, and demonstrate strong abilities in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate level and graduate research mentoring.  This is a tenure-track position with initial appointment on a fixed-term contract of two to three years commencing January 2027. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance. Tenured appointment is expected to be attained within six years.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. You will quickly master multiple LC-MS platforms, then teach and mentor users to run their own analyses.
