The university offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The Loyola University has three campuses that are located in Cordoba, Granada and Seville. There are a range of centres where students can take part in extracurricular activities including the music centre, art centre and film and photography centre. Students can also join sports teams.

The core functions of the department are teaching, training, and research. The department is situated on both the APK Campus in Auckland Park, and the DFC campus in Johannesburg.
