The university has nine faculties including business administration, law, engineering, international studies, economics, education, criminology, psychology and communication. The university offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The Loyola University has three campuses that are located in Cordoba, Granada and Seville. There are a range of centres where students can take part in extracurricular activities including the music centre, art centre and film and photography centre. Students can also join sports teams.

Your personal sphere of play: Your future position is at the Department for Slavic Studies, one of the world’s largest research and teaching centres for Slavic languages, literatures and cultures. The institute represents all East, South and West Slavic languages and literatures in teaching and research. The vacant position in the field of West Slavic Studies with a focus on Polish linguistics is to be filled as soon as possible for a period of six years. Your future tasks: Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means: You will develop an independent research profile in the field of West Slavic (primarily Polish) linguistics. You will participate in research projects and academic studies in the field of West Slavic linguistics. You publish internationally and give lectures. You apply for projects and raise third-party funds. You prepare a publication-ready habilitation. You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement and supervise your students. You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance. You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration. This is part of your personality: Completed doctoral/PhD studies in Slavic studies in the field of West Slavic linguistics with a focus on Polish studies. Outstanding dissertation. Scientific activities in the field of West Slavic studies (research stays, participation in scientific conferences). Research competence and initiative proven through international publications in peer-reviewed journals. Experience in research management. Didactic skills and experience in university teaching. Excellent written and spoken Polish and German language skills. Good knowledge of other Slavic languages (preferably Czech, Slovak, Sorbian) is an advantage. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in the study of reproductive biology and pluripotent stem cells differentiation, especially those specializing in germ cell development. The appointee is expected to demonstrate both independent research capabilities and effective team collaboration; manage on-going research projects on ovarian reconstitution; publish original research articles in high-impact journals; and secure external competitive grants. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The Role Two fixed-term full time Research Assistant (RA) positions are available at the Department of Psychology. The successful candidates will join the research project "Chasing Likes - Developing a Psychobiological Model of Adolescents' Social Media Use and Overuse Based on Social Reward". This large-scale project is led by Dr Niklas Ihssen and Prof Mary Hanley and funded by the Huo Family Foundation. You wi ll report to Dr Niklas Ihssen as the Principal Investigator and Professor Mary Hanley as Co-Investigator of the project. Funding for post one (RA1) is available from 1st August 2026 for a fixed period of 40 months (until November 2029). Funding for post two (RA2) is a vailable from 1st June 2026 for a fixed period of 28 months (until September 2028). The post-holders are employed to work on research/a research project which will be led by another colleague. Whilst this means that the post-holder will not be carrying out independent research in their own rights, the expectation is that they will contribute to the advancement of the project, through the development of their own research ideas/adaptation and development of research protocols. Successful applicants should be in post by 1st August 2026 (RA1) or 1st June 2026 (RA2), respectively.
