About the role: Operating within the Faculty of Education and Arts, the Deputy Dean, Global Engagement is a senior Faculty executive role responsible for leading and delivering the Faculty's global engagement and growth agenda, with a particular focus on transnational education, offshore delivery, strategic partnerships (including research-based agreements), and global program development. The role is responsible for delivering against agreed Faculty global priorities within the context of ACU's University-wide international and research strategies. This includes translating institutional global direction into Faculty-ready, approved and sustainable outcomes, while recognising that ultimate accountability for Faculty targets rests with the Executive Dean. The position operates with a dual line of sight to Faculty strategy and University strategy, including alignment with research priorities led through the DVCRE portfolio and the Graduate Research School. Working in close partnership with the Faculty Executive and the central Global Portfolio, the Deputy Dean ensures that global opportunities are governed through a performance focused operating model, delivering measurable enrolment, partnership and reputation outcomes while maintaining strong quality assurance, regulatory compliance and risk management. The Deputy Dean contributes to the Faculty's academic leadership and culture, deputises for the Executive Dean as required, and maintains an active academic profile in teaching, research and service aligned to the Faculty's mission and ACU's commitment to global impact and human flourishing. This opportunity comprises a temporary part-time (.6 FTE) academic assignment of Deputy Dean, Global Engagement for a period of three (3) years, renewable based on performance and underpinned by a continuing academic E level appointment, dependent on the experience, expertise and capability of the successful candidate. The Tax and Transfer Policy Institute (TTPI) works to build the evidence base, encourage debate, and improve understanding of the tax and transfer system. The TTPI undertakes empirical analysis and evaluation of tax and transfer policies; analyses, educates and engages in public debate on the tax and transfer system; and brings together academics and policy makers to build capability and a community of researchers on tax and transfer policy issues. We are seeking a research fellow to play a central role in the recently awarded Australian Research Council funded project “Better childcare policy: parental labour supply and provider responses” (DP260101621). Working closely with Chief Investigator Professor Robert Breunig, this role will include driving and delivering on an ambitious research agenda. The fellow will work with domestic and international collaborators to undertake analysis, present and publish findings in leading peer-reviewed journals as well as actively support TTPI initiatives. This may include teaching in TTPI’s executive education programs, PhD student supervision, contributing to TTPI tax and transfer fact sheets, policy briefs and major reports, while also partnering with governments, academics, business and the community to produce, synthesise and share research insights. Our ideal candidate will have a PhD in Economics or a related field and a strong publication record. You will be fully proficient in Stata and/or R. You will be an expert in Australian Administrative and Survey Data and Australian Public Policy, have a strong understanding of the Tax and Transfer System, and be committed to continual improvements in both. About the Role This Associate Lecturer, Clinical Nursing Simulation Educator (CNSE) is a Teaching Specialist (Clinical Practitioner) position, ideal for an experienced nursing practitioner who has emerging experience teaching at a tertiary level in a clinical simulation / laboratory environment. This position is predominantly concerned with teaching and teaching-related duties involving the creation, delivery and continuous quality improvement of university-level education. It includes (but is not limited to): direct teaching informed by approaches that enhance the student experience; curriculum design and review; delivery innovation; utilising advancements in education technologies; and making a contribution towards maintaining internal and external compliance and accreditation of courses. This position is also responsible for facilitating the provision of a supportive, encouraging and nurturing teaching and learning environment for students and tutors in the clinical skills laboratory. This involves working collaboratively with the Topic Coordinator, tutors and the clinical laboratory technicians to ensure clear, replicable and consistent demonstration and application of clinical skills required by the student for the provision of competent and safe person-centred nursing care.
