The Universidad de Cartagena is a public research university in Cartagena, Bolívar, Colombia.
The university was established in 1827 and has since the university expanded to include the health campus in 1989 and later science and engineering, and economics.
The university offers undergraduate degrees via 11 departments: economic sciences, humanities, engineering, social sciences, natural sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, law and political sciences, nursing, medicine, dentistry, and languages.
Master's degrees are available in the following subjects: biochemistry, chemistry, clinical epidemiology, clinical toxicology, education, environmental engineering, environmental sciences, immunology, mathematics, microbiology, nursing, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, philosophy, physics.
The university campuses are spread across various locations. The Zaragocilla Campus is dedicated to health sciences, while the Piedra de Bolívar Campus focuses on engineering and economic sciences. The Cloister of St. Augustine Campus serves as the main campus, and the Cloister of La Merced Campus is situated in a historic town.
