The Universidad Cientifica del Sur or Scientific University of the South (UCSUR) is a private institution of higher education, which is accredited by Ministerio de Educación, Peru and is located 19km to the south of the city of Lima. Founded and recognised in 1998 by a group of education representatives led by Carlos Dextre, it began by offering medicine and systems engineering programmes; now it overs 18 bachelor and 13 master’s degree programmes to over 2,000 students, as well as several specialisation courses. Most academic and administrative activities take place in Campus Villa, located near the Pantanos de Villa Wildlife Refuge, a 263 hectare protected marsh area in the district of Chorrillos. The university also has a Cultural Centre, which was established in 2004, and promotes and manages artistic and cultural events within the community. Its motto is "Mejoras tú. Mejora el mundo," meaning "You improve. The world improves" in Spanish. The university supplies a transport service for students and personnel from Lima to Campus Villa and for students inside the campus, the university provides bicycles. The academic year at The Universidad Cientifica del Sur has two semesters. Each semester has 18 weeks and most courses are designed to be completed in that period. UCSUR’s research incentives are mainly for the following areas: veterinary and husbandry, agrarian and forest sciences, medicine, marine biology and environmental engineering and research. One of the university’s easiest to access attractions is the nearby Pantanos de Villa wildlife, which, with a total of 210 different bird species, is a birdwatcher’s paradise.

As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. This role supports the Future Ship and System Design (FSSD) Programme, which aims to accelerate the decarbonisation and digitalisation of Singapore’s maritime sector. The project focuses on developing planning methods to support the electrification of harbour craft fleets, using real-world operational data to derive charging demand profiles and infrastructure recommendations. As part of this work, we are seeking a Research Fellow to lead the development of a user-friendly GUI tool that will enable stakeholders to interact with planning models and visualise simulation outputs. The RF will also support increasing coordination between different projects as the number of case studies and incoming datasets continues to grow. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop a GUI tool to make model inputs/outputs accessible to end-users Collaborate with project leads and researchers to ensure technical accuracy of the interface Support integration of simulation outputs across Projects 3-1 and 3-2 Manage and process large sets of operational data for case study analysis Contribute expertise in power grid optimisation to enhance planning models Participate in stakeholder engagements and respond to evolving technical needs Job Requirements: A strong background in power systems, energy modelling, or grid optimisation Proficiency in GUI development (e.g. using Python Dash, Tkinter, or web-based frameworks) Experience working with data-driven simulation and model validation in power grids (Ph.D level is mandatory) Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment Prior exposure to maritime or transport-related electrification studies is a plus

The group for Chemical Sensing and Rapid Analysis at the University of Vienna designs novel biomimetic recognition materials targeting analytes reaching from small molecules to nanostructures and biological systems. It is internationally reputed in the areas of polymer-based and self-organized sensor layers. The employment duration is 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a non-extension declaration. Your future tasks: The successful candidate will develop controlled synthesis strategies to obtain surface-imprinted polymer thin films and especially focus on batch-to-batch reproducibility. They will use micrometer-size templates, i.e. microparticles and bacteria. The polymer layers will be characterized both for their material properties and as sensing layers in the liquid phase, especially for electrochemical and mass-sensitive detection. For that purpose, they will use a range of instrumentation techniques (e.g. scanning probe microscopy, vibrational spectroscopy, DLS, zetasizer) to characterize the materials and their interactions with the analytes. Introduction As a University of Applied Learning, the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) collaborates actively with industry in our research work. We seek a motivated candidate who is keen on rigorous research, the practical applications of code exfiltration and reverse engineering as well as security penetration testing. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of a research team to investigate and determine potentially critical Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) drone system vulnerabilities impacting confidentiality, integrity and availability. Key Responsibilities Participate in the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PIs and research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Undertake or help guide work and demonstrations in the following tasks: Code exfiltration and binary reverse engineering. Study, understand and analyse mobile platform applications. Android app reverse engineering (Drone apps) Static and Dynamic analysis(experience in tools like Frida, Burp, Wireshark) Develop AI-assisted agents for automated firmware analysis and exploration Build a controlled firmware-replica environment for evaluating protocol security Design, develop and test control augmentation techniques. Adaptation of developed techniques for more generic use. Perform project documentation and crafting of research papers. Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.  Job Requirements A good degree in Computer Science / Engineering or higher. Proficiency with code exfiltration and reverse engineering. Proficiency with penetration testing techniques and tools.
