The Division of Linguistics and Multilingual Studies (LMS) offers a vibrant and interdisciplinary environment for the study of language in its structural, social, cognitive, and technological dimensions. We focus on multilingualism in an Asian/Southeast Asian context. We are internationally recognized for our research on multilingualism, language diversity, and the interface between linguistics and technology. LMS is part of the School of Humanities (SoH), within NTU Singapore’s College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CoHASS), where students and scholars collaborate across fields from philosophy to design to understand how people in Asia and beyond act in, shape, and make sense of a technological world.
