Founded in 1973, the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez is the largest university in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. The university offers 57 programmes across the schools of architecture, design and art; biomedical sciences; social and administrative sciences and engineering and technology. The university is spread over four campuses. The university also offers foreign language courses through its Centre for Foreign Languages ​​(CELE) which provides classes for children and adults. Language classes ​​offered include English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Latin and Spanish. Facilities on campus include a library and sports facilities.

For the Senior Research Assistant post, applicants may alternatively possess a Master’s degree in a related discipline accompanied by at least three years of project management experience. Experience working with multiple teams outside of university settings will be an advantage Familiar with different programming languages (e.g. Python) and preferably Geographic Information Systems (GIS) What We Offer The appointment will be expected to be from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027 (12 months), with a probationary period of 3 months. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to develop build proof-of-concept cyber security solutions and smart nation related systems. Key Responsibilities Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Undertake these responsibilities in the project: Implement post quantum cryptography on the IoT devices. Research and evaluate the existing post quantum cryptography protocol. Assist in writing research papers for the internation conferences. Coordinate and assist the installation of IoT devices. Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers. Job Requirements Have relevant competence in the areas of Cyber Security. Degree in Infocomm, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent. Possessing a Master’s or PhD degree will be advantageous. Strong interest and passion in Cyber Security. Able to grasp new technology concepts quickly, and combine contrarian, out-of-the-box thinking when performing security assessments. OSCP, CISSP and GXPN holder will be advantageous. Experience in post quantum cryptography will be advantageous. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Join Research Services at Swinburne University Full-time, ongoing position at our Hawthorn campus HEW Level 8 salary + 17% super and staff benefits About the Role The Research Grants and Contracts team within Research Services are seeking a highly experienced Manager, Major Research Initiatives to lead the delivery of research management and operational support for Swinburne’s largest and most strategically important research initiatives. You will support a defined portfolio of high value, complex, reputationally important, multi-party research awards, such as ARC Centres of Excellence, ARC Industrial Transformation Program, Australian Government funded projects, Cooperative Research Centres, State Government projects and other important industry projects and consortia. This role encompasses the full grants’ lifecycle, managing all pre-award and post-award activities associated with securing large grants, including support in bid preparation, budget analysis, compliance checks, ensuring certification processes, drafting and reviewing proposals, coordinating stakeholder inputs, and ensuring alignment with funding body guidelines. As the Manager, you will provide tailored project management advice, guidance, and support for the establishment, monitoring, reporting, and post-award administration of major research projects. You will also provide expert advice and strategic recommendations to inform key business decisions and develop and implement processes, workflows, and systems to ensure the effective and active management of major research projects from pre-award planning through to project completion. The position will work closely with research project leaders and staff, teams in Swinburne Research Services, and colleagues in Schools/ Centres, Commercialisation and Innovation area, to support the successful delivery of these projects and the research enterprise. About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: Substantial experience in complex program or research management including provision of expert, strategic advice, reporting and consulting. Demonstrable experience in project management and/or evaluation and/or contract management, with project management qualification(s). Highly developed planning and organisational skills with experience in establishing priorities, allocating resources and meeting deadlines.  Excellent relationship management and consultation skills including the ability to undertake consultative processes, engage with senior management, influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders. Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills including demonstrated ability to quickly assimilate new concepts and information and deliver positive, innovative solutions Advanced computer literacy, particularly with current business management software packages and their various application capabilities is preferred.  Qualifications Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training. The University of Southampton is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support the Deep‑Ocean Stewardship Initiative (DOSI), an international boundary organisation working at the interface of deep‑ocean science and global policy. DOSI integrates scientific and humanistic knowledge to inform deep-ocean policy, governance, and stewardship by engaging with policymakers, cultivating capacity and diplomacy, and fostering an international community. DOSI operates as a largely voluntary global network. Reporting to the Executive Director, the postholder will coordinate key activities across DOSI’s international network, lead on strengthening internal systems and processes, and ensure effective operational delivery. The role includes contributing to financial monitoring and reporting, supporting transparent engagement with funders and other stakeholders, and helping translate DOSI’s strategic priorities into practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on applied research projects in partnership with a local SME, contributing to innovative solutions in food and chemical engineering. This is a fixed term contract position. Job Responsibilities  Support research and development activities in waste recycling, pyrolysis reactor, in the area of chemical engineering, thermal systems, and mechanical engineering.  Conduct design and improvement of the existing pyrolysis system, Perform experiments, data analysis, and technical reporting.  Collaborate with academic staff, industry partners, and project stakeholders to achieve project objectives.  Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all research activities.  T'o communicate with any relevant stakeholders to ensure project can be completed. Any other ad-hoc duties assigned. Expected qualities:  Serve as the process lead engineer in both design, engineering and testing of Pyrolysis Reactor Systems  Involve in developing the process control narrative  To generate project specifications, design philosophy, PFDs, P&IDs, calculations, operation manuals to comply with clients’ requirement  To carry out process simulations and develop heat and material balances  To carry out hydraulic design for pumps, compressors, blowers and develop respective process datasheets  To check design outputs, datasheets and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness to design requirements and concepts  Involve in sizing the process instrument, pump and control philosophy  Experience in downstream gas cleaning processes with real experiences operating a plant  Knowledge in tar/PAH removal and separation  Prepare and deliver various engineering related presentations, both internally and externally  Support the R&D Team  Knowledge in skid module base and PLCs programming will be highly preferred  Possess good Solid-works skillset and/or ASPEN HYSYS/3D simulations expertise  Sound knowledge in applying AI into system applications  Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Thermal, Mechanical, Environmental or related disciplines).  Work experience in similar industries. Prior experience in waste recycling, pyrolysis, production of activated carbon, heat transfer, process design, process control would be an advantage.
