You take the lead in developing innovative, student-centred curriculum and in delivering high-quality experiences, primarily in the online space that prepare graduates for the future of work. This is a rare opportunity for a scholar-leader of international standing to shape the direction of Aotearoa New Zealand's most influential research platform in food science and human nutrition. The Riddet Institute is a nationally designated Centre of Research Excellence (CoRE), internationally recognised for pioneering research that connects fundamental science with industry-relevant and globally impactful outcomes. Hosted by Massey University, the Riddet Institute operates through a high-trust, multi-institutional partnership model that brings together leading researchers across New Zealand's top universities and research organisations, alongside deep partnerships with government agencies and major international food companies. As Director, you will provide both scientific and executive leadership for the Institute and its CoRE mandate. You will shape long-term research direction, lead large-scale multi-partner programmes, and steward the successful renewal of the CoRE and the growth of government and industry investment. Ref.: 533895 Work type: Full-time Department: School of Chinese (04100) Categories: Teaching Staff Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the Chinese Language Enhancement Programme (CLEP) in the School of Chinese (Ref.: 533895),  to commence as soon as possible and no later than August 2026, on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds. The CLEP primarily aims to equip students with the requisite Chinese language skills for academic and professional pursuits. The programme offers tailor-made, discipline-specific practical Chinese language courses to undergraduates across all faculties within the University. Applicants should meet the following criteria: Hold a Master's degree, preferably a doctoral degree, in Chinese or a related discipline. Have at least 5 years of post-qualification teaching experience at the tertiary level, with a proven track record in teaching, and a strong commitment to education. Be capable of designing and teaching practical Chinese courses. Possess excellent communication and presentation skills, along with proficiency in Putonghua. Maintain a portfolio showcasing the application of AI and Information Technology in Chinese language and culture teaching. Preference will be extended to applicants who possess one or more of the following additional qualifications: Experience in language enhancement funded projects, such as UGC’s TDLEG or the University's teaching development initiatives. Experience in Experiential Learning (EL) and in organizing and leading EL programmes and student outbound activities. A high level of competence in written English. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the CLEP courses and working on language enhancement projects, together with some administrative duties.
