About Anáhuac University

The Universidad Anáhuac México, or Anáhuac University is a private university located in Mexico, and belongs to the Legionaries of Christ institute.

The university is spread over two campuses: the north campus in Huixquilucan de Degollado, and the south campus located in Mexico City. The two campuses were originally two separate institutes up until August 2016 when they were merged to become Anáhuac University.

Anáhuac University Mexico North was established in 1964, and it is this year the university as a whole was officially established. Anáhuac University Mexico South originally opened its doors in 1981.

The North Campus features modern architectural buildings surrounded by vast and open green landscapes. The 220,000 square metre campus features 175 classrooms, 18 computer labs, six auditoriums and an exhibition centre.
The South Campus features a large number of gardens and offers a spectacular view of Mexico City.

In total, there are 18 schools and faculties at the university, with a broad range of subjects from law, architecture and languages, to bioethics, psychology and engineering to name a few.

The motto of the university is "vince in bono malum", meaning "defeat evil with good", and the university strives to live up to this ethos by delivering a positive academic programme that it says incorporates true Christian values.

A number of highly successful names in the world of business have studied at Anáhuac University. These include Rocky De La Fuente, Carlos Slim Domit, Carlos Jarque and Alonso Garcia Tames.

The emblem of Anáhuac shows a woven fabric, symbolising how the university seeks to combine the students’ talents and integrate them fully into their working life.
