About Tyndale University

Tyndale University is a private multi-denominational evangelical Christian university in Toronto, Ontario. It was first was established as The Toronto Bible Training School in 1894, by members of the world missionary movement.

The university is home to Canada’s largest graduate school of theology, offering degrees at the master’s and doctoral levels. Postgraduate courses are highly flexible and programmes can be taken online as well as in modular, one-week intensives, or daytime and evening formats.

Degrees on offer include the doctor of ministry, master of divinity, master of theological studies, master of theology and a range of graduate diploma programmes.

There are also a growing number of undergraduate programmes across a wide range of academic disciplines, including philosophy, business, linguistics and music.

The college community represents 60 ethnic backgrounds and 40 different Christian denominations.

Notable alumni include Addie Aylestock, first black pastor of the British Methodist Episcopal Church, Bruxy Cavey, pastor and author and Gino Reda, sports broadcaster and television personality.
