Tyndale University is a private multi-denominational evangelical Christian university in Toronto, Ontario. It was first was established as The Toronto Bible Training School in 1894, by members of the world missionary movement. The university is home to Canada’s largest graduate school of theology, offering degrees at the master’s and doctoral levels. Postgraduate courses are highly flexible and programmes can be taken online as well as in modular, one-week intensives, or daytime and evening formats. Degrees on offer include the doctor of ministry, master of divinity, master of theological studies, master of theology and a range of graduate diploma programmes. There are also a growing number of undergraduate programmes across a wide range of academic disciplines, including philosophy, business, linguistics and music. The college community represents 60 ethnic backgrounds and 40 different Christian denominations. Notable alumni include Addie Aylestock, first black pastor of the British Methodist Episcopal Church, Bruxy Cavey, pastor and author and Gino Reda, sports broadcaster and television personality.

Josephine Butler College is a friendly, vibrant, and inclusive community. Opened in 2006, we are named after the 19th-century social reformer, Josephine Butler, who had a profound influence on society's view of women's health and education. Her legacy of advocacy, commitment to social justice and kindness serves as an inspiration to our students, staff, and broader College community. Josephine Butler College is led by Professor Gillian Hampden-Thompson, who took up the position as Principal/Head of College in July 2023. This is an excellent and unique development opportunity for a current member of the Durham University community. Furthermore, the College is currently heading towards celebrating its 20-year anniversary during the 2026-27 academic year, allowing the successful candidate to not only make a contribution to those celebrations but also enjoy being part of the community during those celebrations. The acting Vice-Principal will be a member of the College senior management team and will have a strong strategic and developmental emphasis. With a monthly payroll of c2000 staff you’ll provide advice and guidance on the best practice use of our HR System and identify solutions to any problems that arise. You'll also be adept at Business Objects reporting to support data validation processes to maintain data quality and integrity. About You To succeed, you’ll need a proven relevant background with iTrent experience, an expert understanding of transactional HR and Payroll processes, strong analytical and business process knowledge and excellent attention to detail.
