TOBB University of Economics and Technology is a private, not-for-profit foundation university in Turkey. It is a young university, established in 2003.

The university’s motto, “A university that reverses the brain drain”, reflects its aim to train talented Turkish youth for careers in technical and business fields.

TOBB University of Economics and Technology is located in Ankara, the capital of Turkey since 1923.

Ankara is slightly smaller than the arguably more well-known Turkish city of Istanbul, but there are still almost two dozen universities located in and around the capital. The huge student population feeds a buzzing cultural scene.

There are six faculties at the university. The Faculty of Engineering includes departments of biomedical, computer, electrical and electronics, industrial, mechanical and materials science and nanotechnology engineering.

The Faculty of Economics and Business Science encompasses the departments of business administration, economics, international entrepreneurship, international relations and political science.

Students of the Faculty of Science and Literature can study English or Turkish language and literature, history, mathematics or psychology.

Industrial design, visual communication design, interior and environmental design, architecture, and art and design are covered by the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Law and Medicine have their own faculties. There is also a separate Department of Foreign Languages.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Cyber Security. We welcome applicants who have experience in Ethical Hacking, System Penetration, Secure Software Development, Information Security and Cryptography. Applicants skilled/certified in Ethical Hacking are strongly desired. You will be required to contribute to the continuing enhancement of the courses within the Computer Science with Mathematics programmes, developing and delivering innovative and engaging curricula across undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the school, providing intellectually stimulating teaching while motivating and supporting students in their learning. You will conduct research in your area of expertise and undertake scholarly activities in computer science to ensure our curriculum is up-to-date and meeting the needs of our students and employers. Working in alignment with the University's research strategy, the appointee will undertake innovative, high-impact research in bionanotechnology and regenerative medicine. This nationally recognised program aims to advance fundamental understanding and translational applications within the discipline. Funded by the Australian Research Council Discovery Project, "Understanding Transient Cellular Response to Electrical Stimulation (DP250101190)," the role will focus on developing cutting-edge methodologies to investigate live cell responses to electrical stimulation with high spatial and temporal resolution. The Research Fellow will design and implement advanced bioinformatics pipelines to interrogate stem cell biology using multi-omics approaches, including RNA sequencing, proteomics, and secretomics datasets. Responsibilities include integrative analysis of complex molecular data, interpretation of cellular response mechanisms, and close collaboration with experimental researchers to uncover pathways regulating stem cell function and fate. The successful candidate will be supported to build an independent research profile through structured mentorship in competitive grant writing and opportunities to contribute to, and lead, fellowship and project applications. They will play a key role in planning and delivering high-quality research projects, establishing productive research networks within RMIT and with local and national partners, and producing impactful research outputs that strengthen the School's research excellence and reputation.
