Tijuana Institute of Technology is located in Mexico’s largest border city, Tijuana. 

It was founded in 1971 as part of a national network of technology institutions which dates back to the late 1940s.

The main campus for technical education is in the state of Baja, California.

Nineteen different degree courses are offered such as public accountancy, administration and architecture and 16 varieties of engineering.

Doctoral and master's courses are offered in chemistry, computer science, engineering science and industrial engineering, along with a master's in administration.

A doctoral programme in social and solidarity economy is the first to be offered virtually in Mexico, while new degree courses are planned in artificial intelligence and cyber eecurity.

Applicants are expected to sit an entrance exam.

The university's radio station is Radio Technologico 88.7 FM and has been operating since 1987.

Design and improve the MD program through contemporary teaching, assessment and medical education research. The Opportunity You will contribute to the design, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of the School of Medicine’s medical education programs, including the MD Doctor of Medicine. You will coordinate and teach units that are contemporary, engaging and research informed, supporting student learning and progression. You will design, deliver and evaluate curriculum and assessment across the medical program, developing blended learning resources and learning activities that strengthen the student experience. You will provide pastoral support and mentoring, and work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain academic quality assurance and continuous improvement. You will contribute to a research-active program of scholarship in medical education or related fields, including publications, grant applications and supervision of research students. You will engage with internal and external academic and professional networks, present research at seminars and conferences, and contribute to School, Faculty and University committees and administrative responsibilities. What Success Looks Like: Deliver high-quality teaching and unit coordination that is research informed and contemporary. Improve curriculum and assessment quality through evaluation and continuous improvement. Develop effective blended learning materials and learning activities for medical students. Produce scholarly outputs and contribute to grants and research student supervision. Build productive internal and external networks that support the medical program. About You A doctorate (or equivalent experience/qualification) in medical education or a closely related field, with a strong grounding in contemporary tertiary learning and teaching. A proven record of high-quality tertiary teaching, with confidence coordinating units and supporting students through both learning and pastoral care. Solid experience designing, implementing and evaluating curriculum and assessment, with a practical track record of educational innovation (including blended learning). Evidence of research capability in medical education or related fields, demonstrated through publications and contributions to grant activity. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a genuine commitment to mentoring students and collaborating across academic and professional networks.
