Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President, External Engagement and Partnerships, the Pro Vice-Chancellor (PVC) Industry Engagement will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of UTS's pan-university industry engagement agenda. This newly created role will lead the development of a more integrated, commercial and high-performing model for engagement across corporates, SMEs, start-ups, government, not-for-profits, professions and community partners. Positioning UTS as the #1 university for industry, the PVC will lead a multi-functional portfolio spanning Industry Partnerships Development, Partnerships Delivery, Industry Skills and Learning, and Entrepreneurship. Working at the intersection of academia and industry, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in increasing the volume, depth and quality of external engagement, strengthening revenue generation, enabling knowledge exchange, and enhancing outcomes for students, staff and partners. Requirements Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional qualifications; Demonstrated excellence in teaching computer science-related subjects; Effective communication skills and a drive for academic growth and innovation; and Ability to bridge theory and practice by engaging with industry practitioners and academic peers.
