Founded in 1977 in Chania, Crete, the Technical University of Crete admitted its first students in1984. The Technical University of Crete comprises five engineering schools, all of which offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. These are: production engineering, mineral resources engineering, electrical and computer engineering, environmental engineering, and architecture. To prepare students for life after university, there is a career services office, which aims to help students decide on a career path as well as preparing students for job interviews. On campus, students will find everything they need including university halls of residences, which provide students with a bed, internet access, private bathrooms as well as common rooms, laundry facilities and a fully equipped kitchen. There’s also a library, cafeterias and computer labs. There are a whole host of clubs for students to join. There are also sports facilities and various sports, games and tournaments for students to get involved with throughout the academic year. The Technical University of Crete has established relationships with universities around the world, carrying out various exchange activities such as academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and the opportunity for students to study abroad. Partnering universities include Montana Tech of the University of Montana (US), University Of Southern Denmark (Denmark) and Middle East Technical University (Turkey).

The Department of Public Health and Medicinal Administration (DPM) under the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at the University of Macau (http://fhs.um.edu.mo/) is now inviting applications for the position of Full, Associate, or Assistant Professor in Public Health. Candidates are expected to have strong expertise in at least one of the following areas: traditional public health, hospital management, or medicinal administration. Established in 2013, FHS is committed to providing high-quality educational programmes, conducting impactful research, and delivering dedicated services to the community. To strengthen its teaching and research in public health, FHS founded DPM, which focuses on areas including traditional public health, hospital management, medicinal administration, infectious diseases, and data science. Currently, FHS offers a Doctor of Public Health programme, while its DPM offers both the Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics and the Master of Science in Global Public Health programmes. Qualifications A doctoral degree in related biological, health and/or medical studies. Candidate for Assistant Professor should demonstrate a high potential of excellence in research and teaching and is preferable to have at least three years of postdoctoral training. The appointment at the rank of Full Professor and Associate Professor depends on qualification and achievements of the candidate, such as the established international excellence in research and scholarship as a proven record of publications in high calibre international journals. The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in 2026/2027. Remuneration A taxable annual remuneration starting MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) for the position of Full Professor; MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. Working in alignment with the University's research strategy, the appointee will undertake innovative, high-impact research in bionanotechnology and regenerative medicine. This nationally recognised program aims to advance fundamental understanding and translational applications within the discipline. Funded by the Australian Research Council Discovery Project, "Understanding Transient Cellular Response to Electrical Stimulation (DP250101190)," the role will focus on developing cutting-edge methodologies to investigate live cell responses to electrical stimulation with high spatial and temporal resolution. The Research Fellow will design and implement advanced bioinformatics pipelines to interrogate stem cell biology using multi-omics approaches, including RNA sequencing, proteomics, and secretomics datasets. Responsibilities include integrative analysis of complex molecular data, interpretation of cellular response mechanisms, and close collaboration with experimental researchers to uncover pathways regulating stem cell function and fate. The successful candidate will be supported to build an independent research profile through structured mentorship in competitive grant writing and opportunities to contribute to, and lead, fellowship and project applications. They will play a key role in planning and delivering high-quality research projects, establishing productive research networks within RMIT and with local and national partners, and producing impactful research outputs that strengthen the School's research excellence and reputation. We are looking for candidates with their knowledge and experience in the key focus areas: Essential Expertise in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, ideally working with human mesenchymal stromal/stem cells, and/or induced pluripotent stem cells. The Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy (CIRA) is a multi-disciplinary research institute engaged in a range of projects involving or motivated by radio astronomy. CIRA’s activities draw together academic research and professional staff from a variety of science, engineering, and computing disciplines to tackle unique and demanding challenges in radio astronomy. CIRA is the lead organisation and operator of the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA), and a key participant in the international SKAO project.
