Flinders University is seeking a motivated and innovative Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Surveying to contribute to high-quality teaching, impactful research, and industry engagement in a growing and strategically important discipline area. The Lecturer / Associate Professor in Surveying will contribute across: Contribute to high-quality research in surveying, geospatial information systems and related disciplines aligned to College research strengths Deliver innovative, student-centred teaching across surveying and geospatial programs using flexible, multi-mode and field-based learning approaches Lead or contribute to curriculum design, topic coordination, program development and continuous improvement of surveying offering Supervise and mentor Honours and Higher Degree by Research students, supporting research training and graduate development Build and sustain strong industry, government and professional partnerships, contributing to accreditation, engagement and graduate employability outcomes This position is open to domestic and international candidates. Department: Geography Vacancy ID: 041284 Closing Date: 17-May-2026 We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the ICARUS Oceans Group at Maynooth University to work on the Marine Institute-funded Actionable Sea Level Information for Irish Policy (ASLIP) project. The successful candidate will lead research at the interface of oceanography, climate science, and data science, with a strong emphasis on translating scientific evidence into actionable information for policymakers. The role will involve the assessment and improvement of sea‑level rise projections for Ireland, integration of observational datasets, and the co‑development of interactive data products to support national climate adaptation and resilience planning. The postdoctoral researcher will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of oceanographers, statisticians and policy stakeholders, including close collaboration with the Marine Institute and other national agencies. Salary: Post-Doctoral Researcher (2026): €46,805 p.a. (1 point) Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
