Other criteria: Individuals meeting one of the following requirements may also be considered Have been associate professors for more than 3 years with good track record and major publications in field of study Have a Ph. D. degree and worked in research or a field relevant to degree more than 8 years, with publications or inventions and significant academic contributions * Individuals currently working in HEIs and research institutes in Taiwan are not eligible to apply. * Successful candidates will be assigned to the suitable department according to the academic field expertise. As the Curriculum Advisor (First Nations), youll be part of the Gulaay First Nations curriculum and resources team in the Division of Learning and Teaching. Your role is to help make learning and teaching across the university culturally respectful, inclusive and high quality. Youll be responsible for running and improving the First Nations Cultural Awareness Journey, a key program for staff, students and external partners. As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Future ship and system design (FSSD) program develop strategic and innovative design capabilities for maritime industry in Singapore and beyond. The work package WP2.4 in FSSD will conduct research in the areas of autonomous system dynamic modeling, simulation, testing, data and video analytics, machine learning algorithms and platform programing. The testing will be done both in lab, reservoir/sea and onboard ships. The primary responsibility of this role is to work on and deliver the project together with P2-4 team and be part of the research team in the FSSD program. Key Responsibilities Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.  Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Carry out any additional work tasks assigned by the supervisor. To communicate with any relevant internal or external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.  Job Requirements Have relevant competence in the areas of system modeling, simulation testing for both hardware and software. Have a degree in engineering / applied physics, electrical, mechanical, marine, computer engineering or equivalent.  Key Competencies Good knowledge in system modeling, programming, simulations, data analytics. Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Show strong initiative and take ownership of work.

About the Team/Service/Location This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-career Software Engineer to show strong leadership and progress your research goals. As Programme Lead for Software Engineering, this full-time role is expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as the supervision of honours, graduate and postgraduate students.
