Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU) is one of the leading private universities in North India. It was established in September 2008 under state legislation and is recognised by the University Grants Commission. Founded by the Subharti K.K.B. Charitable Trust, the university was developed with a mission to promote accessible, value-based education under the guiding principle of ‘Education for All’.
The university is situated in Meerut, a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes across more than 14 faculties and numerous colleges. Key academic areas include medicine and health sciences, dental sciences, nursing, pharmacy, engineering and technology, law, management and commerce, education, journalism, arts and social sciences, and science.
SVSU also houses a multi-specialty teaching hospital with over 1,000 beds, supporting clinical training and healthcare services alongside academic study.
The university has been declared a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by India’s Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.
