Before it’s life as a university, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University was once the royal garden in the precinct of Dusit Palace for King Rama V and the rest of his royal family. 
It was first reconfigured as a women’s education institute, before it was established in 1940 as Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.

Your workplace:

The Senior Lecturer position is responsible in particular for teaching in the field of clinical and healthpsychology in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs at the Faculty of Psychology. You will be responsible for academic teaching for an average of 7 semester hours per week and design lectures, Seminars, and other teaching Formats (particularly practice-oriented courses) across all educational phases. In addition, the Senior Lecturer may be expectedto (co-)supervise Bachelor's and Master's theses. Taking on administrative tasks (especially in theadministration of teaching) is part of the job. The ongoing reception of the current state of science and theassumption of research activities are expected. Continuous didactic training, especially in the area of e-learning, is also expected.

Your future tasks:

You actively participate in scientific teaching, research & administration, which means:


	You hold courses independently in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement. That means an average of 7 semester hours per week for part-time employment, which are to be taught predominantly in German.
	You will take on administrative tasks, especially in the administration of teaching.
	We expect from you the ongoing reception of the current state of science as well as the didactic further training.


What we expect:


	Completed PhD studies in Psychology
	Several years of independent teaching at a post-secondary educational institution
	Didactic competencies (proof e.g. by teaching evaluations, teaching awards)
	Experience in clinical and health psychology research and teaching (preferably with a focus on knowledge related to competencies in theory- and evidence-based practice within Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology)
	Experience in teaching research skills
	Experience in e-learning (e.g. webinars, Moodle), as well as digital & hybrid teaching
	(Ongoing or completed) further training as a Clinical Psychologist or Psychotherapist (in an evidence-based practice)
	Proficiency in German sufficient for teaching in the German language
	Social competencies

The position

We seek to appoint a tenure-track professor to conduct independent research on emerging issues and future challenges related to food safety and food security. This can include the integration of mechanistic and other studies on potential health impacts with innovative analytical approaches for food and feed. Key research areas include, but are not limited to: (i) Food safety including the assessment of co-exposure and mixture effects of food contaminants via innovative in vitro approaches and biomonitoring, (ii) novel and alternative food sources, e.g. insect-based materials, micro- and macroalgae, or meat substitutes, (iii) linking food-derived molecules and contaminants in human samples with health effects using innovative approaches, impact of microbiome on contaminant biotransformation; (iv) AI and chemometrics in food chemistry. The candidate should not have a research focus in food technology/processing or nutritional sciences. In teaching, the position will contribute to different study programs, inter alia the Master’s program in Food Chemistry, which is unique in the Austrian academic landscape.

In addition to the professors at the Department of Food Chemistry and Toxicology, there are strong links within the faculty to the core facilities for mass spectrometry and multimodal imaging. The faculty also hosts the Doctoral School in Chemistry (DoSChem), whose mission is to equip doctoral students with state-of-the-art experimental, statistical, and computational methods to address complex challenges in chemistry and beyond. The Faculty of Chemistry is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Scientist to join the NMR Centre and the Institute of Organic Chemistry. The successful candidate will oversee the operations of the advanced NMR core facility while actively contributing to the research and teaching activities of the Institute of Organic Chemistry. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in cutting-edge and interdisciplinary research in organic and molecular chemistry, supporting and developing NMR-based methodologies, while managing state-of-the-art instrumentation. Your future tasks:


	Operation and management: Oversee the daily operations of the NMR core facility, with responsibility for personnel, scheduling, and budget management.
	User and research support: Maintain and develop relations with internal and external users, providing scientific guidance and fostering collaborations—particularly within the Institute of Organic Chemistry.
	Instrumentation management: Maintain, develop, and troubleshoot high-end NMR spectrometers (400–700 MHz, solution- and solid-state NMR, EPR, Prodigy and He-Cryo units), ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
	Method development: Develop and optimize pulse programs and parameter sets for organochemical, biochemical, and materials applications; support the implementation of full automation workflows.
	Infrastructure maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot the associated IT infrastructure (Linux and Windows systems), as well as gas and cryogenic systems (He recovery, gas and liquid gas supply for the NMR Centre and the Faculty of Chemistry).

About us

Whilst genes provide the initial template for the nervous system, environmental experiences can create life-long changes in brain structure. We investigate how the brain forms during embryonic development and early life. Understanding brain development will not only inform us about individual variability - why are we different from each other - but also about the origin of pathological conditions such as autism spectrum disorder and schizophrenia.

Our centre is committed to educating the public through a range of forums and education programmes. We are led by Professor Oscar Marín, who is also Director of the MRC Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders.

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the Kostadinov lab to investigate how the cerebellum collaborates with the rest of the brain in the learning and execution of learned, goal-directed behaviours.

Successful applicants should have a PhD in Neuroscience or related subject with a specific preference for candidates with a background in rodent (ideally mouse) behavioural, neurophysiology, and systems-level analysis. Other relevant biomedical background, such as medical training and experience with fMRI analysis, are highly desirable.

The candidate will lead a research program aiming to map the organizational logic of connections between the cerebellum and brain regions involved in reward- and punishment-based learning, uncover shared activity patterns in these long-range circuits, and define causal contributions of the cerebellar activity patterns and wiring to computations in partner regions and to behaviour. Expertise in rodent behavioural training, population level electrophysiological recordings in behaving animals, optogenetics and chemogenetics, and analysis of neurophysiological data are crucial for the successful candidate.

As some of the founding members of Kostadinov laboratory, the successful candidate will have to opportunity to be intimately involved in the design, execution, and analysis of the research project. They will also receive regular career mentorship and advice from the lab’s supervisor. The applicant will also have the opportunity to collaborate with and mentor PhD students working in the lab, and they will present their findings at regularly at domestic and international scientific conferences. Ultimately, their findings will be published as scientific papers in high-quality research journals.

This is a full time post, and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31/12/2027.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria


	PhD in neuroscience or related subjects (including quantitative sciences such as engineering, mathematics, or physics)*
	Experience with rodent behavioural training and analysis in appetitive or aversive conditioning tasks.
	Experience with rodent surgical techniques for neurophysiology and activity manipulation experience (e.g. cannula implantation).
	Experience with recording and analyzing neurophysiological signals in awake behaving rodents using e.g. extracellular electrodes, imaging, or patch-clamp electrophysiology.
	Experience with manipulations of neural activity during behaviour using optogenetics and / or chemogenetics.
	Strong programming skills in Python or Matlab.


Desirable criteria


	Additional biomedical experience such as medical training and working with fMRI data
	Strong communication skills and passion to disseminate research findings, including a track record of writing and publishing scientific articles.
	A willingness to problem-solve and execute experiments and analysis independently.
	An ability to work collaboratively as part of a research team and share expertise with fellow researchers.
	Experience of immunofluorescence and fluorescent imaging systems.
