We seek colleagues who embrace student-centred learning, have an internationally visible record of high-quality research, and are committed to excellence in patient care. We particularly welcome applicants whose work engages contemporary developments in precision medicine, digital health, and AI-informed biomedical research and medical education. Applications are invited at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, based on the candidate’s experience and academic record. Essential Qualifications Medical degree. Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Cardiology or a relevant field. Specialty certification in Cardiology (Board Certification or equivalent) and relevant clinical experience. Eligibility for full, unrestricted medical licensure in Greece, permitting independent practice of Cardiology. Proven record of undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching relevant to the subject area. Research portfolio and publication record commensurate with the rank sought. Key Responsibilities Develop, deliver, and regularly update content relevant to their specialty across the curriculum of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme, from pre-clinical courses to clinical rotations, as well as in postgraduate programmes. The successful candidate will be expected to engage students through innovative teaching methods, fostering critical thinking, clinical reasoning, professional values and ethical practice. Provide clinical education leadership, overseeing curriculum design and delivery, student assessment and continuous quality improvement, and provide mentorship to junior members of the clinical education team. Provide mentorship and guidance to students, including advising on research projects, theses, and career development. Conduct high-impact research in Cardiology, securing external funding to establish and sustain these programmes. Disseminate findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences. Serve on Departmental and School committees and assist with strategic planning and development. Advance the School’s mission by leading community outreach initiatives, holding leadership roles in relevant professional societies, and building strategic partnerships with healthcare and regulatory organisations. The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is seeking a highly qualified full-time lecturer in Mathematical Foundations of Computing Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in this field or a closely related field and have a strong background in research. Relevant international experience is an advantage. The successful candidate will become part of an international network of universities and research institutes. Teaching Responsibilities In the role of a lecturer, the successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the Computer Science (CSE) program and possibly a sibling program dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI), as well as graduate courses in the Computer Science (MCS). The expected workload for the in-class lecture conduct is 08 academic hours per week, totaling 240 academic hours per year (1 academic hour equals to 45 minutes). Teaching should reflect current research methods and results, comprising lectures on two to four modules from the following areas: Calculus Algebra Discrete Mathematics Statistics Theoretical Computer Science Applied Maths for CS Mathematical foundations of Machine Learning The named courses are subject to change upon realistic needs of the programs and joint agreement between the lecturer, relevant Academic Coordinators, and Dean/Vice Dean in charge of teaching. Courses may require conducting relevant laboratory activities and/or advising student projects. The holder of this job is also responsible for supervising bachelor's and master's theses and mentoring Ph.D. students. Research Responsibilities As a faculty member of a research-oriented university, the successful candidate is expected to significantly contribute to VGU's scientific profile through innovation. This includes and is not limited to comprehensive activities in basic research as well as applied research in one or several of the following fields: optimization (including lost/cost functions, stochastics), statistics (including Bayes' theorem, sampling, cross-entropy loss), computational complexity & automata theory (including advanced algorithms, formal methods), and foundations of machine learning (including linear algebra and calculus). The ability to apply and generate externally funded research projects is highly desirable. Administrative responsibilities The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the development of the Computer Science Program by participating in administrative, marketing and other public activities of the program in consultation with the Academic Coordinator of the study program and the German partner university, namely Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. She or he is also expected to contribute actively to the academic self-administration of the Faculty of Engineering and university by being willing to stand for election to the Faculty Council, Academic Senate and/or other bodies. Qualification Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field, preferably from a well-known international university. Those in the final stages of their doctoral studies may also be considered, provided they demonstrate exceptional promise. A current title of Professor will be a plus, as experience and understanding of the German higher education system and methodology. Other requirements include: An outstanding academic record with a focus on derivatives & gradients, linear transformations, lost/cost functions, stochastics, computational complexity, logic, graph theory or other areas closely related to it Proven expertise in techniques for descriptive statistics, vectors & matrices and combinatorics Strong track record of successful research activities and publications in international and peer-reviewed journals in the related area Proven teaching experience with strong self-motivation combined with a passion for teaching and research  Experience in industry is of advantage Proven excellent English proficiency: Candidates who are from non-native English-speaking countries should include one of the following valid English proficiency certificates; IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 548(PBT), TOEFL 84 (iBT), TOEFL 212 (CBT), CEFR level B2 or Aptis level C1 at the time of application submission.
