State University of Northern Negros

The State University of Northern Negros is the only state college in Northern Negros and the only science and technology state college in Negros Occidental. It was originally established as the Old Sagay Barangay High School in 1970 and became the Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology in 1998. It attained university status in January 2024.

The university operates a multi-campus system, with its main campus in Sagay City and additional campuses in Calatrava and Escalante. This structure allows SUNN to extend access to higher education across northern Negros Occidental while supporting community-based education and development initiatives.

Academically, the university is comprised of eight colleges: College of Fisheries and Natural Sciences, College of Education, College of Criminal Justice Education, College of Health and Allied Sciences, College of Computing and Information Sciences, College of Arts, Literature and Social Sciences, College of Business and Management, and the College of Agriculture and Allied Sciences. Within each college are different departments offering a range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.
