Our Team Meissel currently consists of 1/2 post doc, 2 prae docs, student assistents and administrative colleagues. What is particularly important to us is to strive for top quality scholarship and passionate teaching. Your future tasks: You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means: You are involved in research projects and scientific studies in the area of Roman Law, Private Law, Historical Comparative Law , Contemporary History. We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months. You work on your dissertation and its completion. You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement. You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration. Ihr persönlicher Spielraum: This position is part of the “Algorithms and Optimization” group, led by Prof. Gramoz Goranci, within the “Theory and Applications of Algorithms’”research group at the Faculty of Computer Science. Our research focuses broadly on algorithm design and its connections to optimization, graph theory, and the foundations of machine learning. Recent work has centered on developing fast, dynamic algorithms for both classical and emerging large-scale problems, with an emphasis on rigorous theoretical guarantees and, in some cases, high-performance implementations. We draw on techniques from combinatorial data structures, graph algorithms, spectral graph theory, and metric embeddings, combining these tools to address fundamental challenges in modern algorithm design.
