About the role Reporting to the College President, and working collaboratively with the College Council, the Head of College will guide the strategic direction of the organisation to ensure the College remains contemporary and financially sustainable. Within this structure, the Head of College is afforded significant decision-making latitude, enabling innovative approaches and responsive adjustments aligned with the College's long-term vision while maintaining transparent engagement with the College Council. Responsibilities: The appointee is expected to (i) teach a master-level course (Social Networks in the Contemporary Chinese Society); (ii) provide assistance in the design, preparation, and revision of syllabuses, assessments, and teaching materials; and (iii) perform other related duties of the course as assigned by the Academy Director. Requirements: Applicants should have a relevant PhD degree with a strong background in sociology or a related field. A proven track record in teaching at the tertiary level is preferred. Fluent English and good organisational and communication skills are required. Job Description: The Department invites applications for the above positions. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Management: Organisational Behaviour, Human Resources Management, Strategic Management, Research Methods. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree and should demonstrate commitment to excellence in research and teaching and be willing to work collaboratively with colleagues. Evidence of the ability to publish in top-tier journals is required.
