The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research projects while developing an independent research program, supervise and mentor students, fellows, and technical staff, and design and execute experiments involving cell culture, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, immunology and animal models. Additional responsibilities include: Analyzing and presenting experimental data Writing manuscripts and presenting findings at national conferencesDeveloping and implementing laboratory protocols requiring regulatory approvals (IACUC, IRB, and IBC) Assisting with grant applications to funding agencies such as the NIH and private foundations, and Overseeing trainee progress and laboratory performance. The expected rank is Research Instructor; however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with the selected candidate's experience. The projected base salary range for this position is $88,000 - $91,000. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
