Located on the Camperdown Campus Opportunity to support student career success while building meaningful industry connections Base Salary $89,755 - $100,495 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The University of Sydney is seeking an organised and proactive Industry Development Officer to support employer engagement activities within the Careers Centre. Working closely with the Industry Development Manager, this role plays a key part in facilitating employment outcomes for University of Sydney students by coordinating employer-facing services, maintaining high-quality administrative processes, and supporting key industry events. Your key responsibilities will be to: work closely with the Industry Development Manager to deliver services to employers engaging with the University manage and maintain employer and job databases to ensure information is accurate and efficiently captured coordinate a range of administrative processes to support smooth workflow and consistent service delivery liaise with industry partners to understand recruitment needs and promote relevant Careers Centre events and services provide frontline customer service, responding to employer enquiries via email, phone and in person in a timely and professional manner assist in coordinating careers fairs, employer presentations and other promotional activities. About you demonstrated experience providing high-level customer service in a busy, administrative environment experience in database entry, website maintenance or CRM systems strong computer literacy, including Word, Excel, Outlook and content management systems ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work under time pressure knowledge of graduate recruitment practices or interest in the higher education sector tertiary qualifications in a relevant area, or equivalent relevant experience. Postdoctoral Research Associate on Quantum Networking

The Role Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science with a particular emphasis on the design and performance analysis of resource allocation algorithms for entanglement distribution in quantum networks. The purpose of the role is to contribute to the project "Utility Optimization in Quantum Networks: Algorithm Design and Analysis", working with Dr. Thirupathaiah Vasantam (Durham University) and Prof. Ayalvadi Ganesh (The University of Bristol, UK). The successful applicant will be based at Durham University but will have opportunities to visit Prof. Ayalvadi Ganesh's group at the University of Bristol, UK. The successful applicant will have opportunities to collaborate with Prof. Neil Walton (Durham University, UK). The general aim of this project is to develop throughput-optimal entanglement distribution algorithms (both centralized and decentralized algorithms) for quantum networks with resource constraints. The project is funded by the EPSRC AI hub, "INFORMED-AI" hub. More details can be found about the INFORMED-AI hub at. The post is fixed term for 24 months with the start date as September 1st 2026, and the end date as August 31st 2028. The successful applicant will be a member of the NESTiD group within the Department of Computer Science at Durham University, UK. This post is fixed term for 24 months and will end on August 31st, 2028, unless a later start date has been agreed. The funding is available for this limited time only. The post-holder is employed to work on research/a research project which will be led by another colleague. Whilst this means that the post-holder will not be carrying out independent research in his/her own right, the expectation is that they will contribute to the advancement of the project, through the development of their own research ideas/adaptation and development of research protocols. Successful applicants will, ideally, be in post as soon as possible, no later than September 1st, 2026.
