COLLEGE OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree (AD), Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the Faculties/Schools of HKBU. CIE currently enrolls over 3,500 students and is committed to the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. English is used as the medium of instruction at the College. Applications are now invited for the following position: Lecturer II / Assistant Lecturer in Art Tech and Media Design (25260318) The College invites applications for the position of Lecturer II / Assistant Lecturer in Art Tech and Media Design. This position involves integrating the latest industry practices and advancements in art tech and media design into the curriculum. Candidates should possess relevant knowledge and/or experience in the following fields: Art Direction Audio and Video Production for New Media Computer Animation and Motion Graphics Digital Graphic Production Data Visualisation Aesthetic  Emerging Technologies in Art Tech Design Fiction and Avatar Development User Experience Design (UI/UX) The appointee is required to perform teaching duties in related disciplines; provide academic guidance to students; organise and coordinate experiential learning activities for students; and assist in the ongoing review and design of courses and programmes. Applicants should have a strong link with industries and professional bodies and acquired relevant professional qualifications.  Applicants should have a post-graduate degree in related disciplines and relevant teaching experience. A strong portfolio demonstrating both creative and technical expertise, or proficiency in industry-standard design and digital tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, prototyping software, and AI tool platforms) are highly advantageous. Applicants must show dedication and strong commitment in teaching and education within and beyond the classroom. They must also be a good team player with excellent communication skills. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Lecturer. Reference salary range:  Lecturer II: HK$38,000 - HK$53,000 Assistant Lecturer: HK$30,000 - HK$39,000 The appointee will work at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus.  The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. About the Role As we kick-start the 2026 academic year in our brand new iconic, state of the art Healthcare Simulation Laboratories located in the convenient Adelaide CBD, we have multiple exciting and continuing Technical Officer positions available. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a healthcare background such as in Nursing, Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology, and who is passionate about supporting students a real-life simulation environment. The role is based in a modern clinical skills simulation lab, essential for delivering practical workshops and ensures the lab is prepared according to course needs and supports teaching by providing technical advice, equipment demonstrations, and procedural guidance. Responsibilities also include maintaining equipment, managing stock control, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. The role requires liaising with the Senior Manager, Healthcare Simulation, and broader team. Additional duties include stepping in for the Team Leader or Laboratory Manager when needed, training staff on simulation equipment, resolving IT and AV issues promptly, and maintaining accurate records of simulation software, licences, and equipment updates to ensure optimal functionality and minimal disruption to learning. During intensives, the incumbent will be expected to work a variety of shifts within a set roster, ranging from 7:30am – 3:30pm, 8:00am – 4pm and 12:30 – 8:30pm, with the occasional shift ending at 10:00pm. About You You are experienced in working with new and emerging simulation technologies and your ability to use initiative highlight your enhanced problem-solving skills whilst prioritising competing deadlines. With excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, you build and maintain effective collegial relationships at all levels within the organisation and with external stakeholders and customers alike. You are an effective leader and are comfortable with the supervision of staff and are equally comfortable working autonomously or as part of a team. You also possess: Qualification in Nursing, Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and training relevant to the position.
