Seikei University was originally established in 1912 under the name Seikei Jitsumu Gakko. It wasn’t until 1949 that it was renamed Seikei University. Located in Kichijoji, a lively town in the city of Musashino, the university is just 20 minutes by train from downtown Tokyo. The campus is known for its avenue of zelkova trees, making it one of the 100 Soundscapes of Japan. These soundscapes are designed to combat noise pollution and help local people rediscover the sounds of every day life. There are four undergraduate faculties that students can choose to specialise in: economics; humanities; law, and science and technology. The university also offers a number of graduate programmes. Throughout the year, the university holds various social events for students to enjoy. These include the Cherry Blossom Festival, which marks the arrival of spring, Seikei Regatta, a boat racing competition, and the Keyaki Festival, the university’s own festival. Students at the university are given the opportunity to study abroad as early as the summer of their first year. These Summer Schools provide students with a first-hand experience of different cultures and teaching methods. Small group instruction is an important part of the university’s teaching mode. It is a tradition that embraces the university’s founding spirit of "connecting the true intentions of teachers and students". Professors and students strengthen their relationships and expand their knowledge by working in small groups. The university’s founding spirit also includes respecting individuality, cultivating one’s character, self-motivation and fulfilment of labour. In addition, the university seeks to provide a well-balanced education of the heart, mind and body.

As Singapore’s University for Industry, SIT works closely with industry partners in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver on a research project to develop an End-to-end misinformation and disinformation protection, awareness and mitigation pipeline. We will be recruiting a research engineers or fellows, as part of a wider project, to conduct research on: LLM/VLM, media comparison, AI-assisted explainability. The need is for a real-time system, so efficient coding is important. Key Responsibilities: Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI) Ian McLoughlin, Co-PI Tong Rong and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.  Undertake research within your domain, including keeping track of state-of-the-art work. Develop the code, evaluate and test. Write academic publications. Deliver solution-ready demonstration code. Interact well within the team and the customers. Be self-directed to fulfil the project requirements. Job Requirements: Competence in working with languages such as C along with Python-based coding and AI development. Have a degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering. Possessing a Master’s or PhD degree will definitely be advantageous. Knowledge of machine learning, pytorch, huggingface etc... Knowledge of image processing is required. Ability to effectively and efficiently utilise industry-standard Linux-based computers for AI. Experience of authoring good quality academic publications. Manage undergraduate research assistants (if appropriate). Liaise with customers and collaborators in A*STAR and NTU, as well as collaborators in the UK and China. The Student Integrity team administers policies and legislation in relation to appeals, academic integrity, and student conduct, managing complex and sensitive student matters, including conduct involving allegations of gender-based violence. The Deputy Manager, Student Conduct and Appeals, supports the operational delivery of services across these areas, working closely with the Manager to ensure effective, consistent, and trauma-informed processes. This includes contributing to compliance with University legislation and national regulatory requirements, supporting statutory reporting obligations, and assisting with the management of appeals, academic integrity and reports of student (mis)conduct to ensure they are managed fairly, sensitively, and in accordance with policy and legislation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: experience in policy, legal compliance, investigations, complaint-handling and appeals management. Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex legislation and policy frameworks in day-to-day operations and casework. Proven ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a culture of service excellence, accountability and continuous improvement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and support the resolution of sensitive matters. A commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practices when managing (mis)conduct and complex behavioural issues.
