About the Role The Professor of Genomics is a senior academic leadership position responsible for driving internationally competitive research and shaping the strategic direction of genomics within the College of Medicine and Public Health. The role leads high-impact research programs that advance health, biomedical and population research outcomes, while strengthening the University’s global reputation. Working collaboratively with academic, industry and government partners, the position plays a key role in securing major research funding, building multidisciplinary capability, and developing the next generation of researchers. Applicants should possess: (i) a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in a related discipline; (ii) evidence of international recognition and a strong record of scholarship with a demonstrated ability to work across disciplines towards new research initiatives; (iii) a strong commitment to engaging students in inquiry-based learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and (iv) a strong track record of high-quality research as indicated by publication record and external grants.
