About the opportunity The GSE is looking for Expressions of Interest from qualified educators to join the School as sessional staff in our undergraduate initial teacher education courses in Perth or Albany. Work with academic staff to support student learning, and roles may include teaching, facilitating workshops, marking, moderation, and contributions to curriculum development. Contribute to our undergraduate initial teacher education course and support UWA’s mission to provide high-quality education. About you Formal tertiary qualification(s) in teaching/education; preferably a doctorate. Previous sessional and/or professional experience in initial teacher education or working with pre-service teachers in primary school settings. Knowledge and experience of the Western Australian primary school curriculum Strong written and verbal communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills. In November 2024, the University of Hong Kong LKS Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed) was appointed as the operator of GBAICTI. In December 2025, the Real-World Study and Application Centre (RWSAC) was established under GBAICTI to open up local health and medical databases and promote collaboration between Hong Kong and other GBA cities. We are now seeking a high-calibre professional to join the RWSAC (located at Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone) as Chief Data Scientist. We now invite applications for the captioned post. Duties and Responsibilities Report to Director (RWSAC) and lead the scientific and methodological core of the RWSAC. Provide scientific leadership in the design, execution, and analysis of real-world evidence (RWE) studies. Oversee the development and validation of the common data model and the data integration platform for use in healthcare research. Ensure analytical methodologies are robust, reproducible, and compliant with relevant regulatory guidelines. Lead the exploration and application of innovative analytical approaches. Manage a team of data scientists and business intelligence (BI) professionals, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and continuous methodological improvement. Collaborate with the Data Scientist (AI) to integrate advanced AI/ML techniques into the RWE generation pipeline.  Requirements PhD degree in Epidemiology, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Informatics or related disciplines. Preferably minimum 5 years’ experience in epidemiology, data management, programming and statistics at supervisory level. Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, or similar tools; experience with big data platforms , machine learning, and data warehousing. Commitment to quality, integrity, confidentiality and compliance. Excellent leadership, organizational, project management and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholders’ management skills. Detail-oriented, able to handle multiple concurrent tasks and self-motivated. A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including both Cantonese and Putonghua). The role In this role, you'll organise a range of in-person, hybrid, and online events for the Accelerated Compute Infrastructure Training Hub (ACIT Hub), including workshops, training weeks, and more. You’ll be responsible for all the logistics of the events and making sure everything runs smoothly and within budget. It will be important for you to ensure all events are inclusive, accessible, and recognise the importance of diversity in our field. While following guidance from the Hub lead, you’ll have freedom in how to achieve the goals of the position and your priorities. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the delivery of a major new national training programme. Some travel to events across the country and working outside of core hours will occasionally be required. We operate a hybrid remote working model and for this role you will be expected to work on campus at least 1 day a week. About us The ACIT-Hub is a new project that provides professional development and training opportunities to technical experts working with supercomputers hardware. Our mission is to create a professional network for these experts and draw on their knowledge and experience to develop a national-scale training program.
