Sakarya University currently has fourteen faculties, one college, two vocational schools, six institutes, thirty-two research and application centers, and one technocity. The university continues to serve a total of 53,124 students thanks to 1628 academic and 317 administrative staff.

In addition to its dynamic and competent human resources, Sakarya University covers a 200-hectare area with its green campus, faculty and administrative buildings, educational buildings, research centers, laboratories, library, dormitories, and activity areas. Sakarya University has an important position among 208 universities in Turkey. It is the first university in Turkey to take TS EN ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System Certificate. Also, SAU is the first and only university in Turkey that has succeeded in receiving the National Quality Award within the EFQM Model framework with its total quality efforts. Continuing its awarded success in this field, the university received an Achievement Award within the European Excellence Awards scope in 2015 and then received 2 Achievement Awards within the European Global Excellence Awards in 2018. Sakarya University also leads many universities nationwide with its laboratory, education, social services, technological infrastructure advances, and initiatives in the IT industry.
