Rizal Technological University is a state university in the Philippines, with its main campus in Mandaluyong City in Metro Manila and additional campuses in Pasig City and Baras in Rizal Province.

It was established in 1969 as the College of Rizal and later became Rizal Technological College in 1975 before attaining university status in 1997.

Rizal Technological University has a student population of around 26,000 and offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across engineering, architecture, business, education, computer studies, arts and sciences and technology related fields.

The university is recognised for its pioneering role in astronomy education in the Philippines, being the first institution in the country to offer degree programmes in astronomy. It also maintains facilities and initiatives related to astronomy research and development, supported in collaboration with national science agencies.

The university contributes to scientific and technical education in the Philippines through research in engineering, technology and applied sciences, as well as broader academic engagement across disciplines. 

Student life at the university includes athletics, cultural activities, academic organisations and publications. Its varsity teams, known as the Blue Thunders, are active participants in university sports competitions, reflecting the institution’s wider commitment to student development.

The role We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Facilities Assistant to support the smooth day to day day operation of our Faculty buildings and facilities. Working as part of the Faculty Operations team within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, you will help create a safe, functional, and welcoming environment that supports teaching, research, clinical activity, and professional services. This is a varied and hands on role. You will coordinate facilities enquiries, maintenance requests, repairs, and building access arrangements, while carrying out regular building inspections and supporting staff and room moves. Working closely with Estates & Facilities, IT Services, contractors, and other colleagues, you will help ensure operational issues are resolved quickly and effectively. You will also support procurement and administrative activities, operational projects, and space improvements across the Faculty. If you are organised, adaptable, enjoy solving problems, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service, this is an opportunity to make a real impact in a busy and dynamic environment. About you You will be an organised, dependable, and detail focused administrator with experience of working in a busy office environment. You will be confident managing competing priorities, working accurately to deadlines, and communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. A collaborative approach and a professional, service focused attitude are essential, along with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Strong IT skills and confidence in standard administrative systems are required. Experience of working within facilities support would be an advantage but is not essential, as would familiarity with higher education or a complex organisational environment. Key Responsibilities Formulate and optimize legume-based protein beverages (e.g., soy, pea, faba bean protein) for desired taste, texture, and stability. Conduct experimental trials on protein extraction, solubility, and emulsification properties to improve product performance. Conduct proper Design of Experiments to evaluate the functionality of prototypes. Analyze shelf life of product and ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. Evaluate sensory attributes (flavor, aroma, mouthfeel) and drive improvements based on consumer feedback. Scale up formulations from lab to pilot/industrial level. Troubleshoot formulation and processing challenges, including sedimentation, off-flavors, and shelf-life stability. Prepare and deliver scientific manuscripts, technical reports, progress summaries, and final reports for funding bodies and key stakeholders. Communicate effectively with both internal teams and external partners to support meetings, technology transfer initiatives, conferences, and authorized communication platforms. Description The Perception and Active Cognition (PAC) Lab at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking an Emirati Junior Research Scientist for a 30-month position supporting a collaborative research project between NYUAD and the National Academy of Childhood Development (NACD), a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority. Applicants with a background in psychology, neuroscience, linguistics and developmental psychology are encouraged to apply. Terms of employment include competitive salary and benefits. This role involves on-site work across NYUAD and NACD facilities and focuses on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience and linguistics.
