Redeemer University is a private Christian liberal arts and science university located on a 86-acre campus in Ancaster, which is part of the city of Hamilton, Ontario. It was founded in 1982 and offers 39 different majors and streams that culminate in either a bachelor of arts, bachelor of science or bachelor of education degree. Students in all programmes can take advantage of internships, volunteer and off-campus opportunities as well as career guidance through the Centre for Experiential Learning and Careers. Redeemer University prides itself on being an interdenominational institution, with students representing more than 50 different denominations. Though a small community of roughly 800 students, the college welcomes international students from all over the world. The average class size is 20. The institution’s main facilities were constructed in 1985 and consist of one comprehensive academic building, 43 townhouse-style residences, 20 apartment-style units, a three-storey residence hall and a student recreation centre. There are also athletic and recreational facilities for student and off-campus groups and in 2011, in partnership with Ancaster Soccer Club, Redeemer opened its domed athletic facility. The campus houses two research institutes, the Pascal Centre for Advanced Studies in Faith and Science and The Dooyeweerd Centre for Christian Philosophy. Each year, the Centre for Christian Scholarship hosts two on-campus events: a fall conference every October and the “World and Our Calling Lectures” every January.

Applications are invited for:- Faculty of Social Science Assistant Professor (Ref: 26000004) The Gender Studies Programme at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is the first programme in gender studies in the tertiary education sector in Hong Kong. It is an interdisciplinary unit based in the Faculty of Social Science, offering Bachelor, MA, MPhil and PhD programmes. The forward-looking team of Gender Studies Programme is inviting applications for the post of Assistant Professor on substantiation (tenure) track to join from the academic year 2026-27 or as soon as possible. The appointee is expected to (a) conduct research and secure research grants; (b) teach courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; (c) supervise students’ theses; and         (d) undertake administrative duties. Applicants should possess: (i) a PhD degree by the time of reporting for duty; (ii) relevant research experience in gender/sex/sexuality-related areas; (iii) demonstrated potential/ ability for high quality research; and  (iv) a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to excellent research, teaching, and service. Applicants specializing in any of the following areas are preferred: Empirical gender/sex/sexuality studies ⁠Human and social development Social sustainability or sustainable development Applicants who specialize in a subject field in Social Science (e.g., Journalism, Social Work, Political Science, Economics) that adds to the diversity of the existing team or whose profile strengthens the programme’s internationalization are preferred. Applicants in cognate subjects (e.g., Education) will also be considered if they possess a profile of a good match to Social Science and especially if they are strong in quantitative empirical research. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to three years, renewable subject to mutual agreement, and may lead to a longer-term appointment or substantiation. We are seeking a highly motivated individual- either a Grade 7 PhD holder, or a Grade 6 graduate - to join the EYESAVE project, funded by the Vivensa Foundation Trust, as a Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Lead. The project addresses the growing demands on glaucoma care by developing an AI-enabled triage platform that integrates retinal imaging, clinical data, and machine learning to support early detection and prioritisation of patients at risk of vision loss. The role involves leading PPIE activities to ensure that patient perspectives and lived experiences shape the design, development, and evaluation of the technology throughout the project. Working in collaboration with clinicians, AI researchers, and vision scientists at Newcastle University, Sunderland Eye Hospital and Newcastle RVI, this position offers the opportunity to deliver meaningful impact by embedding co-production and patient voice into cutting-edge research. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in public engagement, health research involvement, or community partnership working to contribute to a high-impact project with strong potential for clinical adoption and real-world benefit. This post is fixed term for 12 months (full-time) or 24 months (part-time) as the project is time and funding-limited. The post-holder is employed to work on research/a research project which will be led by another colleague. Whilst this means that the post-holder will not be carrying out independent research in his/her own right, the expectation is that they will contribute to the advancement of the project, through the development of their own research ideas/adaptation and development of research protocols.
