Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon has a history that dates back to February 1975 when the Vocational Education and technology College was established. In September 1988 the college was renamed the Rajamangala Institute of Technology. The institute was granted full university status in 2005 and became one of nine Rajamangala universities across Thailand offering advanced vocational training at undergraduate and graduate level.
The university is located in Bangkok, the capital and most populous city of Thailand.
There are nine faculties: the Faculty of Industrial Education, Faculty of Home Economics Technology, Faculty of Mass Communication Technology, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Faculty of Industrial Textiles and Fashion Design, and the Faculty of Architecture and Design, as well as the Institute of Geology Thai Jewellery and Design and the College of State Administration.
There are a number of student clubs on offer such as the performing arts club, the sustainable Thai culture and environment club, the fashion design club, and the Buddhist club. There are also several social development and service clubs, as well as an array of sports and recreational activities.
