We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Programme Manager to provide strategic leadership for the RENEW project, a Research Ireland National Challenge Fund initiative currently in the final prize phase of its funding. This senior role will act as a central coordination point between the Advisory Panel, Senior Leadership, and the project’s technical and engagement teams, ensuring strong alignment between strategy, delivery, and impact. Salary Scale: €70,034 – €90,830 p.a. pro rata at 0.9 FTE with increment Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions. The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for the position of Associate/Assistant Professor of Philosophy with a specialization in Philosophy of Science or History of Western Philosophy. The area of research specialty (AoS) is open, and the aforementioned approach would be preferable. The Department has teaching needs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Qualifications Applicants must hold a PhD in Philosophy, or in a related area. Applicants are expected to have an international research profile and strong publication record, commensurate with their career stage, in their area of research expertise preferably in Philosophy of Science or History of Western Philosophy. Within this 4-year position, you will be immersed in cutting-edge materials science research. You will present your research plan to the faculty and complete a dissertation agreement within 12-18 months. This will be reviewed and adapted on an annual basis.
