Description The Haven Lab, in the Division of Engineering and the Center for Cyber Security, New York University Abu Dhabi, invites applications for a Post-doctoral Associate position in security and privacy. The lab's mission is to provide individuals with control over their privacy and protection from digital threats. We want to work towards a future where digital services are inherently designed with user privacy and safety at the forefront. Current research thrusts involve: Large-scale measurements on the web to understand and characterize harmful online phenomena. Development of AI-based countermeasures for security and privacy, especially in on-device settings. Investigation of attacks/defenses on AI-based systems. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to driving and developing the lab's research directions and methodologies. Lead and collaborate on high-impact research projects in applied security and privacy. Mentor Ph.D./Master's/Bachelor’s students, providing guidance on research projects. Participate in developing coursework and organizing academic and community outreach events. Engage with academic and industry partners to advance the lab's research goals. Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with a focus on security, privacy, or applied machine learning, and with less than 5 years post receipt of PhD. Demonstrated research experience in at least one of the lab’s research thrusts. Good programming and analytical skills, and willingness to work with new technologies/systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. USAIS – Upgrade Pathway Coordinator Join the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service (USAIS) as a Referrals Coordinator and make a meaningful impact on the lives of cochlear implant and auditory implant patients. We provide vital services for severely and profoundly deaf individuals across the south of England and the Channel Islands.  USAIS is a nationally recognised centre of excellence, providing specialist assessment, surgical intervention, and lifelong support for individuals with auditory implants. Our team is passionate about enhancing quality of life through cutting-edge technology and holistic care.  About the role: Location: University of Southampton Highfield Campus, Building 19  Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm  Job Purpose: To work with the Clinic Operational and Assistant Manager, Team Leaders and clinical staff, to ensure effective management of the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service (USAIS) patients through the Cochlear Implant (CI) and Bone Conduction Hearing Implant (BCHI) Referral and Assessment pathway What you will do: Act as a centralised point of contact for patients; triage, coordinate, and provide accurate and timely processing of patient and clinical correspondence  Manage complex appointment scheduling, maintain accurate patient records and monitor Referral to Treatment (RTT) times through the patient assessment pathway Liaise with local Allied Health Professionals, ENT services, hospital staff and clinical radiology staff regarding patient referrals, appointments, admissions, assessments, scans and image reports  What you will bring: Relevant work experience within an administrative or customer support role, preferably in a healthcare setting or clinical environment – including experience using a Patient Administration System (PAS) or equivalent Strong communication skills are essential, with a proven ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload  Excellent attention to detail, record keeping skills and maintenance of confidentiality for all data and patient information.
