About the opportunity Contribute to a translational research program in clean energy and decarbonisation, supporting low-emissions technologies. Design and conduct experiments, analyse data, and contribute to peer-reviewed publications and conference outputs. Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and industry-linked research projects. Support the supervision and mentoring of Honours, Masters, and PhD students. Assist in preparing competitive research grant applications and contribute to externally funded programs. Engage in School activities, outreach, and initiatives that enhance research impact and community engagement. About you A PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in materials chemistry, carbon capture technologies, critical minerals processing and/or chemical kinetics. A track record of peer-reviewed publications and contribution to high-quality research outputs. Experience working in collaborative or industry-linked research environments. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within interdisciplinary teams. About the Role The Senior Research Dissemination Fellow will support our ongoing work by identifying and optimising the research and dissemination outputs of LifeLab. You will be required to work proactively across the team to understand the range and depth of work undertaken in LifeLab and wider Specialist Centre for Public Health and to prepare quality research outputs for dissemination.  You will have knowledge and experience of research within the public health sector, and to be able to work collaboratively to project delivery dates. You will also be an excellent communicator and able to build relationships both internally and externally. Description The Center for Translational Medical Devices (CENTMED) at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to join this new initiative focusing on designing and developing novel medical devices for ultimate human use. The successful applicant will join several fascinating projects on engineering novel approaches to improve the diagnosis and therapy of metabolic, cardiovascular, and neurologic diseases. These projects entail computational modelling, device design and manufacturing, optimization of chemical, mechanical, and electrical characteristics, and preclinical experiments. The candidate will be involved in supporting research efforts, primarily data collection and analysis, as well as project management, training new lab members, purchasing equipment and consumables, and manuscript preparation. This position offers an opportunity to participate in several research projects, depending on experience and willingness to learn. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students. Applicants must have a BS (MS preferred) in an engineering or biomedical-related discipline, with experience in a laboratory setting, and an ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team; with strong organization, communication, problemsolving and time management skills.  Applicants should ideally be willing to work with rodent models including basic handling and surgical techniques. High proficiency in English is required. Excellent computational, experimental, or engineering skills are strongly preferred.
