Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Audiology and be qualified Audiologists in Hong Kong. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in hearing evaluation and hearing-aid fitting.

The appointee should be able to work independently within a multidisciplinary team and liaise effectively with external parties, including social service groups. He/She should be responsible, organized, self-motivated, hardworking, and able to manage multiple tasks. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Cantonese, together with strong interpersonal and communication skills, is essential.

Job duties:


	Deliver the clinical components of a research project related to hearing, including conducting formal hearing tests, hearing aid fitting & fine-tuning, and assisting the consulting expert on problem cases at the centers
	Manage the inventory of hearing devices
	Assist with project events
	Perform other duties as assigned


The appointment will commence on 1 November 2026 and end on 31 October 2029, on a three-year fixed-term basis.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary. The Multifunctional Nanocomposite group in the Department of Applied Physics is now looking for a highly motivated

Postdoctoral researcher in 2D material nanocomposites for tunable photonics

Are you interested in developing new materials for photonics devices? The high-performance optically active materials (OAMs) are desirable for many applications. However, the current OAMs still have some critical issues to be resolved for practical applications. This project aims to develop a new OAM platform using well-designed 2D material nanocomposites based on MXenes combined with functional organic molecules, and to demonstrate prototype devices for large modulating amplitudes or fast switching speeds. If you are a talented researcher interested in 2D material photonics and electronics and enjoy highly interdisciplinary research environment, this might be something for you!

Your role and goals


	Planning and executing laboratory experiments on 2D material nanocomposite synthesis
	Thin film electrochemical and FET device fabrication and characterization
	Writing publications for peer-reviewed high level scientific journals
	Presenting research findings at international conferences and seminars
	Research visits with European partner universities and research facilities
	Showing good social skills in collaborations to promote collaborations


What we require

The candidate should have or will shortly receive a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or Physics. Experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas are considered as merits:


	Research background in thin-film device fabrication (i.e. electrochromic devices, LIBs and supercapacitors, FETs) with 2D materials (preferably MXene or graphene)
	Hands-on experience in wet chemistry synthesis and chemical safety
	Hands on experience in additive manufacturing (printing, deposition)
	Working experience in clean room is highly valued
	Both hands-on and data analysis skills in classical materials characterization methods (i.e., TEM, SEM, XRD, XPS, NMR, IR, Raman, XAS, SAXS, etc)
	Good oral and written proficiency of English. Finnish language is not required
	High motivation and team player in interdisciplinary settings
	Knowledge in inorganic, metal-organic, or organic chemistry is a plus


The experience should be demonstrated by evidence of success in related studies, and also by publication record. Other merits demonstrating suitability for a postdoctoral researcher position can also be considered.

Reporting to the Director ICTS, the AI Automation Architect will lead the strategic design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation solutions across enterprise systems. This role requires a visionary professional who can merge artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and robotic process automation (RPA) to streamline operations, reduce manual workload, and drive digital innovation. Primary Responsibilities


	Architect and Design Automation Systems: Develop and implement end-to-end AI-driven automation architectures to enhance both business and IT operations.
	Collaborate Across Teams: Work with cross-functional departments to identify automation opportunities leveraging AI/ML, natural language processing (NLP), and RPA technologies.
	Develop and Deploy Models: Build scalable, production-ready AI models and integrate them into enterprise systems through CI/CD pipelines.
	Tool and Platform Evaluation: Assess and recommend AI platforms, automation tools, and cloud-based solutions that best fit organizational strategy and scalability needs.
	Compliance and Governance: Ensure that all AI and automation solutions adhere to ethical AI principles, data governance frameworks, cybersecurity standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualification & Experience


	PhD, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
	Minimum 5 years of professional experience in AI/ML development, automation architecture, or software engineering.
	Advanced proficiency in Python, and familiarity with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
	Practical experience with RPA platforms like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
	Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
	Solid understanding of data engineering, APIs, microservices, and system integration.
	Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
	Industry certifications in AI/ML, Cloud Architecture, or RPA technologies.
	Experience in AutoML, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Generative AI applications.
	Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.


Note: This position requires someone who can work long hours and sometimes weekends as well as when required.
