About the opportunity We are seeking a teaching‑focused Lecturer in Pharmacy (Level B) to contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of integrated, practice‑based pharmacy education. In this role you will Deliver high‑quality, teaching‑focused pharmacy education across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with an initial emphasis on the Doctor of Pharmacy and integrated, practice‑based learning. Design and contribute to authentic learning and assessment experiences—including case‑based activities, simulations and integrated curriculum components—that connect knowledge, skills and contemporary pharmacy practice. Work collaboratively within a collegial teaching team to support curriculum integration, quality assurance and continuous improvement, with scope to expand teaching responsibilities and contribute to curriculum leadership over time. About you You will bring a strong commitment to teaching excellence and contemporary pharmacy practice, along with: A PhD or higher professional qualification relevant to pharmacy practice education. Demonstrated experience designing and delivering innovative, practice‑informed teaching, including case‑based, simulation or integrated learning approaches. Proven ability to develop and implement contemporary assessment strategies aligned with learning outcomes and professional standards. Current general registration with Ahpra as a pharmacist in Australia, with recent clinical practice experience. A collaborative, inclusive approach to teaching and service, with the ability to contribute positively to team, School and University activities. You will play a key role in ensuring policy documents are clear, accessible, compliant and aligned to strategic priorities, supporting effective decision-making across the institution. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in a biomedical related discipline and be highly motivated in teaching and learning, with at least 3 years of demonstrated experience and excellence in the teaching of biochemistry / biomedical sciences/ physiology related disciplines for medical, nursing, pharmacy, biochemistry and biomedical sciences undergraduate programmes. Experience in teaching of interdisciplinary core curriculum courses would be an advantage. Applicants should also have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to work independently and as a team; and be able to multi-task. The appointee will be responsible for teaching, conducting tutorials and demonstrations, supporting curriculum design, and developing teaching materials, etc. He/She will work closely with a team of colleagues dedicated to the development and delivery of innovative pedagogical approaches to improve student learning across several undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
