Parahyangan Catholic University is a private institution in Indonesia. It was founded in 1955 by the leaders of the Catholic Church in Indonesia in response to the urgent need for educated professionals in the post-independence nation.
Over time, the university grew from a business academy into a fully accredited university. I
The university is located in Bandung, the capital of the West Java province of Indonesia.
UNPAR is structured into 10 faculties: economics, law, engineering, social and political sciences, philosophy, engineering technology, science, vocational studies, medicine, and education. Across these faculties, the university offers a wide range of programmes, covering diplomas, applied bachelor’s degrees, bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and professional tracks.
Through networks such as the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia, the university connects with institutions across Asia and beyond. Joint initiatives include an industry-led postgraduate research centre with The Welding Institute under the NSIRC International programme, joint master’s degrees with Chinese universities, and partnerships via its PACIS research centre with universities in Europe.
