About Pacific Coast University for Workplace Health Sciences

The Pacific Coast University for Workplace Health Sciences (PCU-WHS) is a non-profit, special-purpose university headquartered in Port Alberni, British Columbia.

The university is a degree-granting education and research institution created specifically to teach and disseminate new knowledge in the fields of workplace safety, health promotion, return to work and disability management, comprehensive rehabilitation and disability leadership studies.

Leading experts in the field of workplace health conduct research at the university, as well as teaching students about the evolving social challenges related to health in the workplace environment. The curriculum is continually updated to keep pace with guidance from the internationally renowned National Institute for Disabilities Management and Research.

PCU-WHS has partnerships with a number of Canadian universities including Vancouver Island University, North Island College, Academy Canada, Bow Valley College, Lethbridge College and Sheridan College.
