Ontario Tech's main campus is located on approximately 400 acres of land in the northern part of Oshawa. There is a secondary campus in the downtown area of Oshawa. There are seven faculties: the faculty of business and information technology, the faculty of energy systems and nuclear science, the faculty of engineering and applied science, the faculty of science, the faculty of health science, the faculty of social sciences and humanities, the faculty of education, and the faculty of graduate studies. Fraternities and sororities are a big part of life on campus. These organisations, some of which are residential, host events for students and do philanthropy work for the surrounding community.

Job Purpose The role holder’s contribution will be central to the delivery and support of teaching, learning, and assessment related to the modules offered in the Economics domain at the University of Southampton Delhi. The role holder is expected to teach Economics modules at both undergraduate (B.Sc.) and postgraduate (M.Sc.) levels, and to engage in other academic activities necessary for the successful delivery of the allocated modules.  Candidates should be able to teach Economics modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across the breadth of the discipline. In this role, you will collect and analyse archaeological and environmental data from the Middle East, developing critical insights into premodern landscape change and its relevance for present-day sustainability strategies. Alongside your research contribution, you will co-teach modules in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage. About you You have a PhD in Archaeology, or Cultural Heritage, or Near Eastern Studies, or closely equivalent. You have substantial experience in Landscape Archaeology of the Eastern Mediterranean and/or the Middle East, including archaeological fieldwork. Loschmidt Laboratories are currently working on a number of topics leading to new computational tools, biomaterials, and biopharmaceuticals. Roles and responsibilities The PhD will be carried out in 4 years at Masaryk University under the supervision of Dr. Stanislav Mazurenko. Within this time, two research stays (2 x 3 months) are expected, at DTU (C. Acevedo) and in Provolut (J. Ivanovska). The Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) Doctoral Network (DN) project is scheduled to start in January 2026. The date of recruitment and the start of the PhD project are planned for June 2026 and by December 2026 at the latest. Your PhD degree will be awarded based on the successful completion of the research work and fulfilling all the PhD study requirements at Masaryk University. Description The Smart Materials Lab (Panče Naumov Group) in the Division of Science and Mathematics, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a post-doctoral associate to work on crystal structure determination using electron or X-ray crystallography. Candidates must have substantial experience in crystallography, specifically in the structure solution and refinement of small molecule crystals using either electron or X-ray diffraction techniques. While candidates with experience in structure analysis based on powder diffraction, neutron diffraction, or scattering data will also be considered, preference will be given to those with expertise in electron diffraction. Candidates should be capable of preparing samples, independently collecting data, and solving and refining crystal structures, including those that are theoretically and experimentally challenging, such as structures that exhibit twinning, disorder, or that change or decay over time. Proficiency in refining structures from electron diffraction data collected using a microscope or specialized equipment is preferred. The position is for two years, with the possibility of renewal, subject to mutual agreement. The successful candidate is also expected to play an active role in other projects and activities within the Smart Materials Lab and assist in supervising undergraduate or PhD students.
