Odessa I.I.Mechnikov National University is an institution in the city of Odessa, Ukraine. The university was founded in 1865.
Odessa I.I.Mechnikov National University is one of the oldest universities in Ukraine.
The university has faculties in biology; geology and geography; international relations, politology and sociology; economics and law; history and philosophy; journalism, advertising and publishing; mathematics, physics and information technologies; psychology and social work; romance and Germanic philology and chemistry.
Although most of the programmes are taught in Ukrainian, there are a small number of master's and PhD programmes which are taught in English. These include programmes in management, biology, international relations, economics and physics.
