POSITION SUMMARY

Student Academic Success (SAS) provides learning support services that promote academic achievement across RMIT Vietnam programs. The Learning Success Coordinator is responsible for the provision and delivery of learning advice through various study support services and resources offered by SAS including: individual and small group consultation sessions, workshop programs, peer-assisted learning and digital self-access materials through a range of media. In collaboration with the Manager and Learning Advisory team, the Learning Coordinator provides a variety of academic skills development experiences to RMIT students, developed in consultation with academic staff. The Coordinator will assist in maintaining the online presence of SAS and in addition, develop interactive digital resources. The position may involve supervision of project work by other SAS staff.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


	Facilitate face-to-face and online learning activities to support the development of academic literacies, English language, and academic skills across programs and Schools.
	Adapt, contextualize, and deliver learning activities based on program and student needs, and report on student feedback and the effectiveness of these sessions to key stakeholders.
	Undertake individual and group consultations with students to provide academic study support across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
	Work with relevant staff to support "At Risk" students in developing their academic literacy and language skills.
	Facilitate individualized study planning sessions to help students identify and plan for the achievement of their personal learning goals.
	Consult with academic staff to analyse student support needs and develop learning experiences and resources aligned with course and program learning outcomes.
	Provide line management and professional development for direct reports within the Learning Advisory team.
	Plan, manage, and evaluate strategic projects that develop learning support services and programs, including functional oversight of other Student Academic Success (SAS) staff where required.
	Provide training, monitoring, and ongoing professional development opportunities for student leaders participating in SAS Peer Assisted Learning programs.
	Design, develop, and deliver content-integrated digital self-access resources to support academic literacies and language development.
	Provide project management oversight and reporting for strategic development initiatives aligned with SAS program goals.
	Actively promote SAS services to the RMIT student body and contribute to ongoing communication and promotional strategies.
	Provide feedback on student learning opportunities and challenges to SAS and academic teaching teams.
	Conduct literature reviews and develop recommendations to improve assessment design, communication, and student learning outcomes.
	Participate in the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of SAS study support services and initiatives.
	Accurately collect, analyse, and report quantitative and qualitative data using established reporting systems.
	Contribute to the analysis of service data and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
	Participate in projects to further develop the resources and services of Student Academic Success.
	Actively engage with the teaching and learning community within RMIT Vietnam and beyond. Engagement includes contribution to online and social media content produced, as well as special events such as those for prospective or current students, and relevant internal and external conferences and symposiums.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA


	A Bachelor’s Degree with major relevant to supporting RMIT Vietnam students such as Commerce, Management, Professional Communications, Education, TESOL/Applied Linguistics, Communications etc. Master’s Degree with Educational focus preferred.
	At least five years of experience providing academic and study skills support within a secondary or tertiary education environment, or transferrable experience to the role.
	Well-rounded skills in learning support, English language instruction, and academic literacies development in higher and/or further education institutions.
	Proven ability to creatively design and engage students with activities that facilitate language and learning skills development in support of learners’ own study goals
	Research experience using qualitative and quantitative methods for evaluation of service delivery is desirable.
	Strong report-writing skills
	Proven ability to accurately maintain complex operational systems and reporting (high attention to detail)
	Demonstrated awareness of student obstacles in assessment design and constructive alignment.
	Proven ability to manage projects that deliver successful outcomes.
	Skilled in the use of technology as a teaching and learning tool with experience in use of educational software for creation of interactive digital resources for online access (e.g. Camtasia, Storyline, Captivate, etc.); experience in use of Learning Management Systems (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas) – especially with use of Learning Analytics tools.
	Demonstrated commitment to a skills-based, student-centred approach to instruction.
	Proven ability to creatively design and engage students in activities that facilitate language and learning skills development in support of learners’ own study goals.
	Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills for interacting with diverse learners and colleagues in an international university context.
	Classroom teaching experience (Preferred: Teaching Academic English to tertiary-level students or experience teaching in undergraduate programs)

About the Role

This position is part of ARC Discovery Project "Health, Biological Fitness and Environmental Diversity".

The appointee will work with Dr Bourrat (Macquarie University, Philosophy), Professor Raubenheimer (University of Sydney, Charles Perkins Centre), Emeritus Professor Griffiths (University of Sydney & Macquarie University, Philosophy), and collaborators to develop a framework for understanding how the organism-environment interface shapes biological fitness, adaptation, and health.

The successful candidate will contribute to all aspects of the project in collaboration with the research team. This will include:


	Developing an integrative framework for different measures of biological fitness.
	Developing a framework for understanding the role of the environment in explanations of adaptation.
	Exploring the implications of these frameworks for understanding health.


The research will involve close collaboration between philosophy and biological sciences and requires expertise at the intersection of philosophy of biology and evolutionary biology.

The position will be based in the Theory and Methods in Bioscience group, led by Dr Bourrat within the Philosophy Discipline, and will also be affiliated with the University of Sydney's Charles Perkins Centre.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking applicants for an Associate Lecturer or Lecturer (full-time) in the BA Design (Digital Media) program with expertise in one or more areas related to digital design (see the Key Selection Criteria section below).

To comply with Vietnam’s employment requirement, all overseas candidates must have at least 3 years University teaching experience.

At the Associate Lecturer scale, the position will be required to teach and conduct classes in disciplines relevant to their field of expertise and assist in the academic and administrative, consultative and coordination tasks involved with these courses. Functions associated with the position include presentation of lectures and tutorials, assessment of students, and course administration in line with the University’s quality assurance requirements. Key Selection Criteria:


	For Associate Lecturer: A Master degree in the relevant discipline and having commenced or enrolled to commence in Doctoral course is preferred.
	For Lecturer: PhD or equivalent relevant Doctoral qualification from a recognised institution, with an emerging to established track record and growing recognition for research.
	Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver programs at the undergraduate level, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high-quality curriculum or program materials.
	Proven expertise in three or more of the following areas to be evidenced through the submission of a portfolio:

Southampton Sport operate a number of different sites which include the signature Jubilee Sports Centre, Wide Lane Sports Ground and the Watersports Centre. As an RYA Accredited Training Centre an extensive range of courses are available to our customers every day of the week and we need sports professionals to provide a consistently high-quality sports and leisure service to our customers all year round.

The role 

As a Watersports Supervisor you will lead a highly motivated and organised Watersports team responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient daily operation of the facilities and on water activities. Based at the University Watersports Centre you will be responsible for:


	Ensuring safe and smooth operation of the site.
	Overseeing and delivering on water activities including RYA instruction.
	Ensuring the safe condition of vehicles and vessels.
	Delivering an exceptional customer experience.


There is a requirement to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check which will be conducted during the offer process.

This post is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be working set hour working patterns, 35 hours a week averaged over a number of weeks.

About you

You should have proven experience in handling a diverse range of situations in a customer focussed environment. You will need to act safely whilst holding responsibility for the health and safety of all facility users, have excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering first class customer service.

As a Royal Yachting Association Training Centre this role holder will be required to teach a variety of activities leading to recognised qualifications such as Power Boat level 2 or Day-skipper Practical. Noting there is a wide variety of qualifications available, it is expected that the candidate will hold some Instructor qualifications upon appointment and will develop more in time.

The appointee will conduct experimental and analytical research on salt melts in iron oxide copper-gold systems. The appointee will contribute primarily to research, with minor service, laboratory and project responsibilities, and may assist with research student supervision where relevant. The appointment is expected to commence in 2027, subject to the final employment arrangements.

The Person

The Postdoctoral Fellow will be a member of the Research School of Earth Sciences and will work under the supervision of the project lead, Dr Michael Anenburg. The Postdoctoral Fellow will contribute cooperatively to the intellectual and laboratory life of the School and will work closely with ANU researchers, technical staff and BHP collaborators. A successful candidate will have extensive knowledge in experimental petrology methods including 1-atm gas mixing furnaces, piston cylinder apparatuses, and other similar techniques. Demonstrated experience in mineralogical microanalytical techniques (e.g., SEM-EDS, EPMA-WDS, LA-ICP-MS, FTIR) is required.

The Research School of Earth Sciences is a leading centre of Earth sciences research in Australia. Its researchers combine experimental, analytical and field-based approaches to understand Earth processes and address challenges in mineral resources and sustainable resource development.
